Is this kit suitable for a 68 year old beginner?. Am looking for a birthday present for someone who knits and sews.

I would say no, not suitable for a beginner. I started with smaller and simpler designs. I would think twice about this one for myself and I have been doing cross stitch for over twenty years.

How many threads came with this kit please

Dimensions kits always have sufficient threads to complete their kits. If you need more thread, you can contact them directly.

Does this item has a pre-defined pattern on aida ?

It is labeled counted cross stitch so i believe that the Aida fabric will be plain and you will be given a pattern to follow. If it was called "tapestry" the pattern would be printed onto the fabric and you would get a small colour chart. It is a stunning pattern so will require much patience and dedication to complete.

What colour is the aida please?

This kit is supplied with a natural aida fabric, so a creamy beige colour.
