Absolutely essential for traveling with a baby!!
I don’t know how I would be able to stay in the same hotel with my baby without this! I was going to buy blackout shades, but most hotels already have those anyway and the benefit of a tent over my baby’s crib was that it made it like he was in his own little room and my husband and I were able to stay up after he went to bed with the lights on. We could also be on our phones or be getting ready for the day without the lights in the room waking him up. It fits perfectly over our travel crib, but we were also able to use it with all the cribs provided in the four hotels we’ve used it in so far, 3 of which weren’t even pack n plays but we were still able to fit it over them (it was just lifted off the ground a bit, so some light did come through at the bottom for those, but it still blocked out enough). The only constructive feedback I would give is the plastic pocket for the camera gives off a glare, but we actually just put the camera in the mesh pocket for a fan and you can barely even see the mesh. We found it to be a lot more clear than the plastic pocket. Unfortunately that means that we wouldn’t be able to use a camera and a fan at the same time, but we keep our room temperature pretty comfortable so we’ve never needed a fan for him.

Game changer!
My family has a cabin that we love to vacation at. The cabin only has one room with a door and two loft rooms that are very open and are shared by multiple people. Obviously having a baby complicates this set up. We decided to give the slumber pod a try and it allowed our baby (and us!) to sleep soundly in an unfamiliar place. The set up was not horrible and will go much faster now that I know what I am doing. I really appreciate how quiet the zipper is; my light sleeper didn’t even stir. The size of the pod is perfect and fits well over our pack and play. I was shocked at how dark the pod is even with how breathable the fabric seems.

Blackout really means blackout
We didn’t have this for our son & we had such a hard time when we stayed in hotels. Bought this on a whim for a quick staycation for our daughter & WOW! When they say blackout they really mean BLACKOUT. I placed myself in the pack and play with this over it and I couldn’t see ANYTHING!Do I think $200 is expensive AF for a blackout tent? 100%, but so far baby girl slept like she does at home and we were able to continue to use the TV & make noise (she had her portable sound machine) without her waking up.I would recommend even though it is expensive.

This is perfect! My niece needs to have a very dark room so it is hard for my sister to travel places. With this it will change that. It is easy to use and easy to store, it fits the pack n’ play great. It is black so I feel it will be easy to keep clean and it is nice that you can put the camera inside the tent.

Great!
Nice, thick, but breathable! Great quality and fit perfect over a gravy pack and play! Zipper was nice quality. Highly recommend for traveling with littles

Great for Complete Darkness but not the most user-friendly
The SlumberPod is fantastic for babies who need complete darkness to sleep, but it does come with some challenges for caregivers. Setting it up was tricky, especially in a small space like a hotel room. Assembling the frame by connecting the long poles and bending them to form the pod was almost dangerous. If you’re not careful, it’s easy to slip and potentially hit something, which is what happened to us.Additionally, while the material is stretchy and can accommodate different sizes, it was a tight fit over our Pack 'n Play. This might vary depending on the type of playard you use, though. The window opening is also a bit small, making it difficult to lean in and put your baby down — especially if you're petite like me and your baby is still small. One of the biggest downsides for me was the lack of airflow when the window is closed, which is why I can understand why they offer a version with a fan. If I were to repurchase, I’d definitely get the fan version. In the meantime, I make do by facing the window away from the light or window in whatever room I’m using and then pointing a fan into the opening. I feel comfortable using it in a hotel room with the window closed, as the AC helps with air circulation.Despite these challenges, the SlumberPod is still very useful when you need to ensure total darkness and don’t have a choice in the lighting situation. It’s definitely easier than trying to board up windows or block out light with other methods. Because of these challenges, I don’t use it as often as I thought I would, but when I do, it works well to keep my baby in total darkness for sleep.Overall, while the SlumberPod is great for ensuring total darkness, it can be a bit tricky to use in certain situations. I’d highly recommend the fan version for improved airflow.

Love love. I had a cheaper one that just fit around the pack n play and it worked okay but now I’m never going back after buying this. Worked great. Only tiny negative is the pocket to put the camera in is plastic so sometimes you get a glare/wrinkle. It didn’t take very long maybe 2-3 minutes to assemble and disassemble.
