The Perfect Stovetop Glass Teapot + Extras!
After over a month of constant, three-times-a-day use, I can say I'm extremely pleased with the teapot and all its accessories!+ The packaging it arrived in is top-notch, managing to be attractive and secure at the same time. Definitely giftable.+ The quality of the pot and accessories is extremely impressive. The glass and metal fits together perfectly without rattling around, and I've never gotten a sense of delicacy. It's small of course requires care, but it's just as everyday-usable as my vintage Pyrex measuring cup. Superb machining/molding.+ The neoprene casing is perfect for preventing burns, is easy to put the pot into, and does keep the tea warm for much longer. The only change I'd make is with the "level window"...add another one on the other side, because without light passing through the case, the window doesn't do any good. Everything looks black, whether it's my Earl Grey or my pink passionflower tea.+ The teapot opening is just the right size for getting my hand into in order to scrub the pot when needed.+ The insert / infuser / lid engineering was a stroke of genius, and that's why I ordered this pot rather than another. I'd noticed that all the others I researched were badly designed, making it impossible to put the lid on once the infuser was removed! This pot has no such problem.+ This really does work directly on my ceramic stovetop, and I've boiled up bouillon in the microwave without the metal parts.+ The bonus tea e-book I was emailed was very interesting, and I learned some things about tea I'd had no idea about! Two caveats:1. You cannot make just a single cup of tea, as the infuser doesn't reach far enough down into the pot. For me, however, the only "single" cups I make is my morning cup of full-caffeine brew, so I don't consider this a flaw, as my other tea-drinking involves all three 8-oz cups that I pour out of this pot.2. You MUST watch this pot on the stove, because if you fill it full, it WILL boil over and does NOT whistle. This is not a design flaw--more like a maximum-tea-drinker flaw. However, if I pull it just before it starts to really bubble, there are no problems. So, in short, the pot is perfect for my needs, looks adorable on my stovetop and in its case, and will be a welcome addition to my kitchen for a long time to come. And should I break this one? I'll be ordering another!

Cracked on its own in less than two months!
**Yet another update**I sent a message to the company to let them know about the issue (see below) with my pot. They were incredibly easy to work with and they stand by their product and shipped me a new one. Great customer service and fingers crossed that the pot won't crack again because it is my favorite of all three glass infusers I have! Also, if you have any issues with RA or joints of any type, this pot is very easy to hold and your hads don't come in contact with the hot parts. The handle is very well designed. Lastly, one more thing I did not write on my initial review is that, if like me, you don't like to brew your tea too strong, the strainer can be taken out and the top will still remain in place (no need to hold it with your hand as you pour the tea). This is my only infuser that I can do that with. Also, the strainer is the easiest to wash because the perforations are also present on the bottom of the piece (all others I have have perforations only on the sides, which makes them harder to wash). Hope this helps!***UPDATE***Changed the review to one star because pot got a serious crack on the bottom of it out of the blue last week. That makes this pot officially less than two months old, and since I alternate use between tree infusers, that makes it a broken pot in less than 6 times being used.Still love the design and the thought that went into making it be...but what good is a pot if it cannot be used or its lifespan is less than two months/6 uses?Great design and I love the fact that the lid has the little knob that is not stainless (I have another one that has a stainless knob and I always burn my fingers when I want to take the steeping basket out). The glass looks delicate but feels sturdy and for a household of two is just perfect. would highly recommend!

The BEST teapot we've ever had!
We’ve gone through several teapots since my husband switched from coffee to (loose-leaf) tea about a decade ago. They were all similar – 24 oz, round, glass teapots with an infuser. They were ok but nothing special. Then my son started drinking tea as well, so I set out to find a bigger – and better – teapot. After extensive research, I settled on this Cusinium 32 oz and my family couldn’t be happier! Here’s what we love about it. First, the infuser is longer than on most glass teapots. This is important because it allows you to make a single cup or two if you don’t need a large pot of tea. Also, since the infuser is long and narrow, a larger surface area of tea is in contact with the hot water. As a result, we are using less tea than before. The second thing we love is the cozy. We were pleasantly surprised to find that it keeps the tea warm for a couple hours. This was one of our complaints about our previous (cheaper) teapots. We’d put a towel around them to keep the tea warm, but it wasn't very effective.Third, this teapot can be placed on the stove to heat water or re-warm tea, although we’ve been afraid to try it (we have gas burners). I imagine it would work great with an electric burner with a warming feature. I see that a number of other reviewers have used the teapot on the stove (even gas burners) with no problems. The teapot also comes with coaster which protects the countertop from the heat. Finally, Cusinium has OUTSTANDING customer service. We had a problem with the first teapot we received, and the issue was so small I wouldn’t have bothered to exchange it. But the company reached out to see how I liked my purchase. I said that I loved the teapot but mentioned the minor defect and the company replaced the entire set!I HIGHLY recommend this teapot! It’s more expensive than some of the other glass models I considered, but it's higher quality than others I've purchased and, with the additional features, it's been worth every penny!
