A wonderful book
Absolutely wonderful easy to use book with brilliant ideas that are easy to follow. Ample ways to adapt designs to represent your own ideas. The only annoying thing - continual mention of author’s own brand of wool which is not an essential product to make successful dolls.

If you are intimated by the fingers you can make basic doll
I think that the if your worried about the hands it's nice to know you can make simple hands. This makes the book more beginner friendly. This is a British pattern so if you learned from you tube sc is called dc in the British crochet patterns.

Good value for money.
So the patterns are very straight forward but I would much prefer if the patterns were wrote properly using crochet terminology like inc (increase) instead of ‘2dc in the same stitch, 2dc, 2dc in the same stitch’ as it makes the instructions harder to keep track of when it’s 6 lines long instead of readable in a pattern like ‘inc, 2dc, inc’ as it’s much easier to keep track of.. overall though the patterns themselves are good and I would Recommend as it is a personal preference that is my only issue.

Crochet dolls
I've taken the author's advice and crochet 3 dolls in a likeness to my son, daughter in law and baby so 5hey can be displayed on a shelf in the babies room. They are very easy patterns and described simply and there are lots of variations of clothes that you can crochet for them. It gives you ots of different hair style as well. It's a fabulous book.

flip book
A clever book with plenty of ideas for you to mix and match designs for dolls and their outfits. The basic doll can be upgraded according to your imagination and hair, skin tone and costumes can also be crocheted whichever way you like. Remember to read all the basic instructions first before starting your project as with any other pattern. Have fun!

East pattern to follow
Love this book! Easy to follow instructions. Just finished the dolls. Added a few touches of my own. Not butts in the book.

Beautiful book
What a beautiful book! I’ve smiled all the way through with each turn of the page. Wonderfully laid out with mix and match heads and outfits. Not tried anything at all yet - that’ll be another day (and maybe another review)! For now, I’m just feeling all warm and fuzzy (like the dolls) in just admiring them.Update - I made a mini-me and it’s adorable. I made the boots (socks) but added my own design into to it.Have finished my second doll - this is a gift for somebody else. The fingers are tricky but I’ve found if I push a chopstick up through the finger I can easily work around that or else I seem to pick up stitches from the other side. The stick stops this.Couple of tips which I’ll be doing on the next doll - use a bigger hook for the jumper especially if it has long sleeves 😳 - it’s a really tight fit and hard to put on, but once on it looks fab. Second tip if your doll has long hair that will be tied back - do the advanced head and then only add hair around the ‘crocheted hair’ perimeter otherwise there far too much hair (even if doing every other hole).Recommend this book 150% 🤗❤️
