I bought these valves to replace my leaky valve for my MOEN shower these valves arrive very quickly. All the parts I needed were included in this purchase. I had never replaced one of these valves. I watched a couple YouTube videos shut the water off to my home and was able to replace this valve in less than 10 minutes. These valves have been installed for over four months and they are still working very well very smooth and no leaks. I would not hesitate to re-purchase these valves if I were in need again. Ease of replacement was very easy. no leakage. Fit perfectly. Very good quality at a very good price.

These cartridges were a perfect replacement for my old Moen 1225 cartridges. The new cartridges work very smoothly and easily, and they don't leak.

A perfect fit at more then half the price of OEM Moen not only do you get 2 cartridges but you also get the clips that secure the cartridge in the faucet they do not come with the Moen. My belief is if you are replaceing the cartridge do the clip also. I also purchased the cartridge puller which I definately needed because the old cartridge was not budging without the puller.

Installing a replacement core valve in these Moen faucets can be a little difficult. A YouTube video shows you how, and is correct. There are several pieces to take apart, so be sure to keep them in the order that they were taken apart as shown in the video if you’re new at this. Once apart, the video says all you have to do, once apart, is to simply pull up on the old valve core and insert a new one.If the valve is old, as ours were, they have been in service for 15-20 years, so the old core is pretty much locked in place with calcium or whatever, impossible to remove… Moen makes a “puller” for this common problem, so without the puller, it is nearly impossible to get the core out of an old valve.The puller is available on Amazon for a reasonable price, and oftentimes, sold together with the valve cores.Good luck, and hope this helps!
