It’s pretty solid
Wasn’t hard to put together, my cat really likes it. He gives it a 10 out of 10. I appreciate that they also put a uv light in it, I would say filters need changing after 1 refill the next time you have to change it. But keeps water clean , it’s pretty small as well but holds quite a bit of water. The motor has seem to run perfectly and very quiet. When you can hear the motor either add more water or give it a full clean. But great for the price, and easy to clean.

Great Product, reviewing from 2023
Why did you pick this product vs others?:This has a window which is great to see.Ease of assembly:Assembly was easyFountain quality:I do agree that the filter doesn't seem to clean much. There is mold easily in the water pump. I disagree in other reviews where you need a screwdriver to clean things. You can pop off the two sides and unscrew everything to clean it with brush pipe cleaners. I still have this using from 2023 so it's not broken, and it's very quiet. I stop it every night and remove the water to refill daily. Mold will always grow if you don't clean or replace the water..Durability:durable since 2023Functionality:My dog loves it and the furry guests that use it as well. I use a stone mat underneath which evaporates water in under a minute.

Never buying again
I had made a review for this when first ordered about 4-5 months ago and wrote a positive review. Honestly, I had to come back to follow up, because this is the worst water fountain I’ve ever gotten my cat.1. We have hard water. We have a multi-process reverse osmosis system, but originally, we thought the hard water was why this thing was so nasty after two to three days.. it’s not. This COLLECTS gunk immediately due to the filters, the inability to take apart the entire thing, and the toxic plastic on the inside.2. The filters are garbage. “Multi-layered filters”? NO. Open the filter up and look inside before you hand this thing to your loved animals. It’s cheap and ONLY filters big things like hair. (Does not filter out small gnats/bugs, gunk, or bad water.3. There are WAY too many nooks and crannies that you literally would have to take apart with a screw driver to get under, or simply CANNOT get under. There is really no way to have it 100% clean all the time (even if you clean it every day or every WEEK). At first, we cleaned ours every 5-7 days. It suggests filter changes every 2-4 WEEKS. THAT’S NOT what we’ve experienced. This appears dangerous to the cats immune system. We were DEEP cleaning and changing the water of ours daily until we gave up and decided a shallow bowl of water in a NATURAL material bowl was safer, cleaner, and more functional.3. THE SPOUT/mechanics: there is a plastic piece that runs the water up through a metal spout. The spout itself comes off but the plastic piece is NOT able to be taken apart. It is absolutely disgusting. We have tried everything to clean it properly, and it’s physically impossible (you’d have to buy a new one, which seems like a massive money funnel for no reason).4. I’m going to trash this anyways, so we’re getting it tested to investigate the level/grade of “steel”, but regardless, the plastic pieces on the inside defeat the purpose of trying to stay with healthy materials.Overall, I would NOT recommend this. Unless you plan to toss it after one month (specifically and ONLY if you’re using it for a short term travel plan).. Sure you can refill it and leave it if you don’t care about the health of your animal, but I would never ever use this again.Hope this helps.

The cat loves it.
Works absolutely great. My cat loves this. Sometimes he'll just sit and watch the water flow for Stretches of time if it's a warm day, I'll fill the top with ice cubes, and he'll play with ice a little bit.

Nice but turn off the light!
I bought another fountain before this one. It had a "window" on the front to see the water level and unknown to me (nowhere in the description) it has a glowing blue light that floods the bathroom with blue light at night. I don't like the light. Cats see in the dark so they don't need a light plus it bothers one of my cats who wouldn't use that fountain. So, I went shopping again for another fountain and found this one. No mention of a light and no window, so I got it. Guess what? It's lighted. It's not bad like the first fountain. It's a plain (not blue) light that shows up through the pan that sits on top. It's subtle, but once again, I don't want the light and it's not mentioned in the description. This is a nice fountain and I like the faucet-like water dispenser. That's the main reason I chose this one over others that didn't have the water level window. I just wish it didn't have the light. Seriously, we don't need more lights around the house at night, everything these days seems to give off red or blue light. At least this isn't colored.Fortunately I bought a third fountain at the same time as I got this one and that one is lighted but the designer was smart and added a shut off switch for the light on the cord. Time to unpack that one.Bottom line, I'm ok with this fountain despite the light because it's very subtle but why do people think that cats need a nightlight? They really don't and any light affects their night vision. At the very least, add a shut off switch and give people a choice. I know that some people really like the light.
