Used to replace dead Power Pack and it worked great, delivered fast and easy to order.
Used to replace a dead Power Pack on my MSI GS65 laptop, I had tried replacing the battery first and then found that the power pack was the issue, so bought this one and it worked right away when plugged in.

Same specs as my original, but this got way too hot
It's normal for the "box" part of a charger to get warm, even hot. It's not normal to have the connection part get super hot while charging. At least, not normal in my experience.I went to disconnect the charger from my laptop (after a 30 min. of charging), but when I touched the connector piece, that brain automatic burn/hot reflex kicked in when I touched it. Without even thinking, I pulled my hand away...it was THAT hot.

Works for MSI GE75 Raider
The MSI GE75 Raider is not listed as compatible, but mine works with this charger. This is the laptop model that was sold through Costco. The original power adapter is Delta brand. The brand on this one is Chicory. If you read the listing, it says the connector is 5.5 x 2.5mm, but it comes with two adapters not mentioned. The larger adapter works with my MSI laptop, and it also seems to work with my Dell Precision M6500 and M4700. The smaller adapter seems to fit my Latitude 5515, but over 10 - 15 mins it didn't seem like the battery charge level was increasing, even though the charging icon was there. The adapter only gets a little warm charging the battery from 1% with the display on.

Charging a P65 Right Now - Beautifully
Have it charging up the kids' P65 gaming computer right now, and I hafta say it's doing great. I got it for traveling, since the kids need something to plink on when we scoot around, but it's doing a better job than the original MSI charger, which is getting to be a few years old now, LOL.Communicates with Win10 just fine. Power settings you change in the laptop get respected by the charger and it throttles back to preserve battery, such as when I don't always want at 100 percent to save battery life - something pretty important with a laptop that's a few years old. As far as the MSI laptop and Windows seems to know, this is an MSI charger and it just all works without changing ANYthing in settings or drivers. And I love that.It gets a bit warm to the touch, but not as warm as the OEM one does, which gets really quite warm. So this one seems to have better (newer?) circuitry, or just better power management or maybe better efficiency with less heat waste. Either way, it's an upgrade, and I recommend this charger, for home or for the road.

Nice beefy charger/power supply
I was mainly looking for a ~20V high power-ish power supply to power my audio amplifier boards. The boards are capable of drawing 400W total at absolute maximum, but that’s be too loud for any home use. I’m keeping them at about 50% power maximum, which is well within the limit of the power adaptor. It seems to have a 5.5x2.5mm DC plug, which to be the right size for the amp boards. I was prepare to cut and hack the DC cable to make it work, but am glad that I didn’t need to. The charger also came with 2 different cable adaptor for different laptops.

It charged my battery, didn't burn down my house.
I used this to charge my GS66, and it did the things you would expect, while not doing the things you were worried about: It charged the battery and didn't set the thing on fire. This thing comes with two adapters for different tip sizes, and I had to use one of those which is mildly annoying but not a huge issue. I'll probably just wrap electrical tape around the connector, otherwise I guarantee you I'll lose the tip.

Good quality power supply. Same as OEM with plug adapters
Build QualityThe power supply is good quality. It is made with high quality abs plastic and feels solid. The cable is made with a good quality rubber and is high quality as well.OEM Quality -- exactlyThis is the brand that actually shipped with my laptop and meets the manufacturers (MSI) quality requirements (and mine.)UseThe power supply works great with my laptop. No overheating, no noise, no issues.Final thoughts:This is a great replacement or supplemental power supply by one of the premier brands and it is top notch quality. I highly recommend it!
