HOHNER 2416-C Golden Melody Tremolo Harmonica, Key of C, Gold

The most fun you can put in your pocket. Plays nice, sounds nice, easy on the lips. Plastic comb allows rinsing. Occasionally grabs the mustache, but not too bad. Better than most, in that department. Nice compliment to the Golden Melody Gold 10 hole (non tremolo) version. I hope they keep making them, because if I ever wear this one out, I want another!

This is my third Hohner harmonica. The sound it makes is mellow, soothing, pleasant. It requires, however, much air to operate,and prompted me to start exercising to build up my lung's capacity. So having this harmonica brings with it a side benefit since I needmore exercise anyway. Comparing the model 2416 Golden Melody with the two Hohner harmonicas I previously bought, I find that it lacks theirdistinct quality of workmanship along with the "Made in Germany" stamping. When asking Hohner of Germany by email about this, I was informedthat it was indeed made in Germany even though it lacked the stamping because at the time it was manufactured the stamping -Made in Germany-was not the norm. I still had my doubts about it. Since then, I read on the internet that watches, for example, require a 43% made in Germanyparts content to allow the Made in Germany identification. Perhaps this applies to harmonicas, too. While I am totally satisfied with its sound,its lack of quality appearance is somewhat bothersome.Bill

This is a very nice and attractive looking Tremolo harmonica. It reminds me so much of the golden Melody diatonic Harmonica . And it has a nice sound to it like an accordion.
