GERMOLENE Antiseptic Cream with Local Anaesthetic, 30g (Pack Of 1)

Great cream, work wonders for getting rid of infected cuts, ingrown toe nails and more! My brother had fell and scuffed both his knees and I was scared of infection as it hadn't been healing, I remembered I had some of this, let him use some and it healed after a day or so! It's also a creamy not too thick but light cream and is a white colour but smells kind of like rubber? Worth it as it's saved me many times when infection could've occurred, every time I have a cut of wound its a pain to keep it clean but using this I haven't got an Infection in ages now!

Quite honestly because it’s a nice thick cream, which makes it easy to apply. It contains an ingredient that you will feel numb the pain fast - while the other ingredients work to help protect against infection and speed up the healing process.It’s important you don’t just use this cream and stick a plaster on, then leave it for days - after a few hours the cream loses its ability to fight bacteria and under the plaster it can become a breeding ground for bacteria.So your best bet is to ensure that at least once a day you take off the plaster, gently wash the area with warm clean water, apply a thin layer of cream (no need to go mad, a dab will do!) and then put on a fresh plaster. A breathable one such as Leukoplast are best, though the adhesive isn’t the strongest - though this can be good, as it reminds you to tend to the wound as it’s healing.Whenever choosing a cream for minor cuts and scrapes, it’s always best to chose one like this that contains a pain-killing/numbing agent like lidocaine, and Germoline is my go-to for that reason.If I had to pick a negative side it would be the smell, I actually quite like it but some people think it smells a little chemically - but the smell isn’t strong, we’re not talking TCP levels of smell but rather like toothpaste - you can smell it only while you’re using it. Once you’ve covered the area with a plaster or if you’re just rubbing it into the skin, once it’s been absorbed the smell is gone.I have no other negatives as this is in my opinion, the best antiseptic cream on the market.

This cream is very good on my skin for treating insect bites. The cream soothes the itch almost immediately and heals the wound in a few days with repeated application.

Brilliant addition to my first aid kit

Have always had this in my first aid box so got more when my last tube was going out of date.it is both an antiseptic & has pain relieving properties as well.Its kind to skin but when first applied and before the pain relief kicks in it does sting a bit, it has it's own smell but is not offensive nor does it irritate my sensitive skin, it helps to stop infections from starting. I wouldn't be without it.
