Do you know the dimentions of the square or hex?

The map I ordered had 1 1/2 inch squares, so 3.81cm

How do you get the creases out of this??

You can try to use warm damp towel. Lay it flat and lay the warm damp towel over it. Since it's plastic it will revert to its original shape with heath but to much will melt it. You could try ironing it but keep a towel in between so that you don't apply heat directly and check often that it isn't melting
