I bought this measure in advance of an indoor project I’m about to undertake, and I’m relatively impressed especially at this price.It’s easy enough to use, both for distances, square and cubic measurements.If I have two minor concerns, one more minor than the other, these are:-1. If the built-in spirit levels are important to you, you may want to bear in mind that the bubbles take a long time to settle on the level as they seem to be fighting against quite a viscous liquid.2. The instructions are adequate, except for the section on self-calibration. As it turned out, a known distance of 5 feet showed up initially as 5.01 feet – not a huge error but worth reeling in before you start using it in earnest. Using their Chinglish as a basis for the exercise, I realised fairly early on that the instruction to press the Off button followed by the Read button, really means press the first and whilst holding it down, press the second. Where it fails completely is that the measure needs to be placed a known distance away from a wall or some such barrier using a conventional tape measure – I set mine at precisely 5 feet (to the back of the measure - useful if taking the maximum dimensions of a room). At this point, it was trial and error to press the minus button to reduce its 5.01 feet to the real 5 feet. It took two pushes of the minus button in total.Minor moans, I know, for what is an excellent value bit of kit, especially as calibration isn’t something you have to keep doing (I hope!)

Nice tidy, accurate tool. Made light work of measuring our rooms up in the house. It arrived in a smart looking box, and when i first opened it, it looked like a toy! so was a little shocked with how small it was. Will be using this a bit more in the summer as once you read the instructions, its pretty straight forward to use, which is what i had found. And because it has a short memory, it makes life a lot easier, as i always forget measurements if i dont write them down!

I bought this a few months ago to help with a house renovation. I had been really pleased with it but had not thought to test it for accuracy. I used it recently to help with the measurements for a new stud wall and found that it was approximately 10mm over on a dimension of approximately 2.5m. Needless to say, I was not impressed when I realised the error and how much time and work had been wasted. I set up a couple of tests that are shown in the attached photos. It was 2mm over on a dimension of 395mm (0.5% over) and 10mm over 2m (again 0.5% over). So it could be 200mm over on its full distance of 40m, or 500mm on the 100m model.I would agree with a previous review that it might be acceptable for very approximate dimensions, but not for any accuracy as I would have expected. As well as using it for a house renovation I am an architect and would definitely not use it for surveying a building as the ramifications could be massive.This had an Amazon Choice next to the product as well as the high customer rating so very disappointed.

Always wanted one of these. My excuse was moving and needing to do a Sketchup model of the house for a new central heating system and some furniture/ storage placement. Excellent bit of kit and seems accurate to about 1-2mm. Enough accuracy or my purposes. So much quicker and more convenient that a tape measure though the tap is still used for smaller measurements.

Works very well. Essential for construction workers. Since I bought it I use it daily. Pretty accurate, +-1mm. Nice carrying case, batteries Included. Nice mode which shows distance in real time. Just hold the big button when meter is On and it will show a distance whilst you moving a meter.

I compared this laser measure with two others that I own of similar price and one that costs twice as much. The taclife wins hands down. The measurements are consistent and it gives readings (indoors) in lighting conditions that the others simply cannot measure. For the price, I don't think I could get a better measure. Outdoors measurements are more erratic, as with most laser measures except the very expensive ones. However, even outdoors it measures better than my other ones. Pythagorian, as well as area, volume, and memory functionality are useful too. Highly recommended.

Great product, easy to use, better going to YouTube and watching demo as opposed to trying to read instruction book with writing so small I reckon it was done by an ant, apart from that little complaint this is a great bit of kit.

Small, easy to hold on one hand and perfect size to hide on a pocket. Easy to use it- instructions include on a box. Really good for measuring room (m2). Has little mistake sometimes about 1-3 mm to real measuring by measuring tape.
