Looks great on 2016 jeep wrangler. Nice and solid bumper. Heavy duty upgrade

This bumper was higher quality than I expected. The packing was double boxed/stapled together, and the box arrived with no damage at all on the corners. the finish was very nice, with no chips or flaws. It is very heavy, and will take 2 people to mount it up comfortably. It looks just as good as any $600-$800 bumper, at less than half the cost. The bumper bolted up perfectly, with no vehicle modifications required.HOW TO INSTALL:1. Remove oem bumper (if you can't figure this one out, you better have someone install your new one.)2. Probably remove your muffler, which makes it much easier to get to the center install bolts later.3. You have 2 rectangular pieces which slide INSIDE the frame rails on each side. Those are what your SHORT bolts slide into. The short bolts will go from the outside of bumper, into those nuts on your special plate. Don't fully tighten down any bolts until all 8 bolts are installed.4. Then your other piece is for the center support near the tow hook. You have 4 longer bolts there for the center mount area. start those bolts half way or more.5. Finish tightening the center bracket first.. which will make sure the sides are aligned nicely later one. The bumper arrived packaged well and undamaged. It had all the necessary hardware and easy to follow instructions. I did however have to use a step bit to widen one set of holes only by about ⅛ of inch to allow the bolt to start. The bottom bracket hangs lower than the frame, I suspect this may be because of differences between the TJ and YJ models ( this bumper is said to fit both and has two sets of mounting holes). But the bottom bracket easily tightened up against the frame. If you are mounting a winch on this bumper save yourself some time and mount it before you mount the bumper on the TJ model like mine once the bumper is mounted you will find the rear bolt holes obscured from underneath so mount the winch and then mount the bumper. Overall I am happy with the look. As for winching on this bumper I have not yet had to use that so only time will tell. I read other reviews that said they had good look and found the bumper to be sturdy enough to winch hard without doing any damage. This was a pretty easy install however you will need a very shallow ratchet or a box end wrench to install the upper bolts as the clearance is pretty tight. For the price I am happy with the bumper and would gladly buy it again.

Waited a year after purchase to write this review. I don't usually write reviews but I feel like I've given this product enough use to give it an honest review . It did not bolt right up onto my TJ , which was probably the only downside of this bumper. It 'almost' bolted right up, but one bracket was welded just slightly crooked and I had to widen the bolt holes on that bracket just a bit to compensate... Not a big deal... IF YOU HAVE A DREMEL OR DRILL WITH A DIAMOND OR CARBIDE BIT. It also only had a few bolts... For 6 bolt holes ? Anyway once it was mounted up properly it looks good. And it's sturdy . I have winched on it hard, countless times, with a 12000 pound winch, in deep snow, mud, at improper angles even. I was , unfortunately, in two medium level fender benders with this bumper on and both times the other car was damaged and the Jeep had almost no damage whatsoever . One bracket bent up slightly in the second collision but that's about it. I've rammed it against trees , just generally beat on it. Took it off a few months ago and sprayed or with some Rustoleum trim and bumper paint (it had some minor scratches) and it looked brand new again. If you can tinker with the install a bit this is a great value. They even shipped it to Alaska free. LEDS on it are worthless. My Badlands winch mounted right up so easy. My Warn 9500 did not fit, newer Warns probably will? Would buy again for sure. One thing worth mentioning is if you're running 35s the corners of the bumper get into the tire line just slightly and could rub when articulating fully.

Took a little back yard ingenuity to get bolts to line up to frame but once figured out straight foward
