Works like a charm! Need to glue it on and use lubricant, however.
I had noticed that when I would run the pool pump with the diverter on "filter" or even "circulate", some of the pool water would come out of the "waste" tube causing the pool to lose water over time. I did some research and found out that if this occurs, it is likely the "spider" gasket (this item) that may be worn out. I opened up the diverter housing by unscrewing it to inspect the gasket, and sure enough, it was worn out in many places. In fact, some of the spokes of the diverter were completely gone.I ordered this item since it matched the one I had, and installed it when it arrived. Two things I noticed after installing and trying it out is when I would rotate the diverter handle, it would pull the gasket out of its place. Also, rotating the handle was pretty tough. Used some marine glue to glue it in place. You don't need a lot, just a drop of glue along the outer circle where the spokes line up is enough - no need to over-glue. This is just to keep it in place so it doesn't move when rotating the diverter handle. Then I used silicone lubricant and applied it all over the gasket so that it isn't dry when rotating the diverter handle. Tried it again and now when I rotate the handle, the gasket stayed in its place (due to the glue) and the lubricant allowed the rotation of the handle to rotate with ease. I also notice no water is now coming out of the waste tube, whether I set the diverter to "filter" or "circulate". Problem solved!

Quality part that worked (but needed to be glued in place)
I'd previously bought a cheap knockoff (SouthEastern pools $6 gasket) that didn't work - too tall and too firm. This replacement seemed like OEM, correct height and a softer rubber that was more compliant and sealed correctly. It was maybe 10 minutes to remove/scrape the first replacement and maybe 5 mins to install this one and reassemble. I used superglue to hold this in place along the radial seals, I also saw silicone or a permatex glue recommended. It is a BIT taller than the original failed part, but just barely. Fits well, good seal, no leaks - I'm a happy camper for $13-

Jury is still out
I bought both this gasket and the recommended o ringPentair 272541 O-Ring Replacement Pool/Spa Filter and ValveHowever, after installing it with grease, water continued to leak.I installed it with the rib side down, so I took it out and flipped it.Then I noticed that the handle device wasn't flush closed, so I took it apart to find that the o ring was too large. Luckily, the original o ring was still usable. I replaced it, and it seems better.Again, there is a flat and ribbed side. I think ribbed side goes up.Also, the other issue I had was removing the caked on gasket. It was so melted in that it took a lot of scraping and tugging into a dozens of rubbery fragments. Be prepared to clean out the old gasket and work into the groove.

Correct part. Fits perfect.
No complaints about this part. However, the old gasket was cemented in (I may have done that a few years ago).It took me over an hour to remove it.I DID NOT glue the new one in.So far, so good.If I need to replace it every year because I didn't glue it - fine. That beats going through the pulling and scraping.

It worked on a VERY old system

Replacement for older part
Appears to be exact match for part it is replacing. It is being used on an old Pac-Fac SM10-3 multiport valve. Upon installation found that replacement gasket is approximately 1/4" smaller overall diameter than original and channels in which gasket sits. Had to cut gasket outside ring to9m get it to sit down in channel. Applied heavy dollop of glue at cut to hopefully prevent leak.
