Too small to catch ash, 16" is incorrect size
It does not fit a 16" firegrate it is too small, excuse given that it is meant to be but does not do the job as miserably small, have since purchased another from a reputable fire company that fits perfectly. This is around 11"

It's ok - I only use it to catch surplus ...
It's ok - I only use it to catch surplus ash under my burner when I open the door - I don't think it would do as a main ash pan, it's not robust enough and I wouldn't trust it with very hot ash - also there's no lip to allow for sweeping.
