8 x 8 in the same size as a standard 3 x 3. Super smooth and very satisfying to use. Very hard challenge but even if you don't want to take the time to learn it, has a great feel in the movement. Solid fidget-y toy to stimulate the mind and get some creative thinking going. Makes the eyes light up for any cubers in your household to see another form.

My son scrambled it and started solving it and a piece popped out and it was literally broke there was no way to get the piece back in (the piece that popped out was broke in half)

This is a nicely built 8x8 puzzle cube, but it is somewhat delicate so I'm not sure I'd agree that it's meant for "speed" runs. If you don't have everything carefully lined up when turning the sides it's possible to accidentally pop off the pieces (see photo). The white side includes a small sticker (a logo maybe?) that can be easily removed.

It broke on the first day I got it and it can't be fixed so I'm returning it.

If you're new to big cubes, I urge you to be cautious. You cannot corner turn like with a 3x3 or 4x4. This 8x8 is sturdy and turns smoothly. Colorful moyu logo.

If you want a budget 8x8 with "normal" colors, your options are limited. And, among those, the Meilong 8x8 is the best bet. Out of the box, it's too tight so you'll want to loosen the screws a quarter turn or so. May want to lube it a bit, too. Be careful loosening it, though, as it will pop if you loosen it too much. Once setup, it's a stable, solid cube that is pleasant to solve. Recommended.

My nine-year-old son is obsessed with speed cubes of all sizes. He has a small collection and I try to order him new and different ones whenever I see them. He didn’t have this one yet so I went ahead and got it for him. It feels like it is a good quality and he is already gotten started trying to solve this one.

This is a good 8x8 puzzle at a great value. This cube turns relatively well and can be adjusted. It has a stickerless design with the colors being easy to differentiate when solving. The cube has a matte finish and feels good in the hands. The cube is also lightweight and moderately sized compared to a normal 3x3 puzzle cube. I would highly recommend this a good 8x8 puzzle for a great price!
