Neutrogena Acne Proofing Daily Facial Gel Cleanser with Salicylic Acid Acne Medicine, Oil-Free Acne-Fighting Face Wash, 6 oz

I love this face treatment and gel cleanser.I use it with my Clarisonic Mia 2; it’s a nice thick gel so only one pump is enough. I foams up really nicely (I feel if it doesn’t foam, it’s not soap - call me crazy!) and it has a soft clean fresh scent.The combo of the Mia and this treatment l / cleanser has been a godsend for my broken-out acne skin, however, I’m sure any cleansing method would benefit from using it.Honestly, it’s the only cleaner I use right now because it cuts out a second step of a treatment because you’re “applying it” as you’re cleaning.I’ve heard if you rinse with cold water it closes the pores, so I’ve been doing that to rise off. Who knows if that’s true or not...All I know is my skin is smooth, I have far FAR less breakouts, I’m on the same bottle from January 2018 (4 mo ago) and I’m very happy!

I was having trouble finding it - it not only works but smells SO good. It's a wonderful experience washing your face with it and knowing you are helping your skin. I LOVE IT.

I gave it 4 stars, frankly it deserves it. It has salicylic acid in it so YES it’s going to dry out your skin a little. Don’t be so shocked. I HIGHLY recommend when starting out using it every other day for a week and then slowly working it in to a every night wash. If you just full bore run into using it twice a day or every night at first it’s going to hurt your skin, it will dry out and be quite painful (common sense). Follow up with a good moisturizer that suits yourself skin. I have combination acne prone skin & it’s even worse now that I’m 7 months pregnant 🙌🏼 But this is the first product that has calmed down my acne and redness with minimal drying, which I combat with my personal favorite neotrogena oil free and fragrance free water gel moisturizer.It takes a 4 weeks to start seeing real and consistent results so don’t be surprise if your acne come back a little after the first week, your skin needs to purge a little. Know your skin, but also know how to properly use products and their duration.

Really good for getting rid of acne. Does have a stronger smell compared to some of the other neutrogena products but I do not mind as I enjoy the smell. However do not get this in your eyes or wash around your eyes with this. I tried to take my makeup off with this and it kinda burning my eyes. I'm guessing its due to the acne fighting ingredients, which really do work

I have used this face wash for a while & when I stopped using it I noticed acne come back - so I immediately bought it again. Would definitely recommend.

This is the best face cleanser I have found for my skin I have used it for years and now Neutrogena has discontinued it I’m devastated. Luckily it’s still on here but I don’t know for how long this is the only face wash that works for me. I’ve tried hundreds of different kinds over the years high end brand including this. Is it please Neutrogena bring it back.

For those of us that suffer with facial acne, trying to find the right skin care regimen is tough. I have spent a ton of money on a myriad of products to clear my face. I decided to try this because it's called acne proofing. What can I say? I guess it works. I don't have a ton of acne breakouts on my face but I do get one or two bumps about once a month. Most likely hormonal related. I think that it is easy to forget about your face when you don't have a breakout but as soon as you see one bump, you immedaitely assume the product doesn't work. I am going to say that it does but life happens and sometimes, you get breakouts. It is very light and smells good. I do enjoy washing my face with it and believe that it's working.

What can I say, other than perfect for oil control, pimple and light acne control. It dries my skin a little more than I wanted but I am using other facial products to control such dryness. Anyway, it is the best I've found and used in several years and I am still happy with it as I've been using it twice a day for some time now.
