Who would dare NOT give 5*?!
Well its Susan Boyle ( OR SuBo as she affectionately know!!)This is her fourth Album and like the other 3 full of good quality songs ( but all ballads) why can she not do an album of upbeat songs soon? Her 5th Album I believe is now out and they all have one thing in common, All 5 are released at Christmas time. From 09 to 13. There are 11 tracks all told on this fine CD. She sings with Michael Crawford (Actor/ Singer) and two songs with her teenager heartthrob Donny Osmond the Duet " All I ask of you" and "This is the moment". The track listening are all seasoned standards. She even tackles an Abba song "The Winner Takes it All. This woman could as all the fine singers could.... She could sing the Telephone Directory. She is THAT good. Shame on the audience on the show and the Viewers at home for thinking she would squawk as soon as she opened her mouth...SHAME ON YOU ALL. She has a pure Angelic voice...Full Stop. Liquid Gold......pure honey. There is no more to say. 4 years on she has sold millions. Made millions and she has deserved every bit of success she has had. the bullying at school, the taunts and losing her beloved Mum. She gave inspiration to many and she inspiration to Lil Ol Me!!.Bless you Susan......SUCCESS IS REVENGE!!! God Bless you indeed!!!SUCCESS IS REVENGE

Susan Boyle: Standing Ovation
This is a beautiful CD, showing the vast range that Susan has. To me, although I enjoyed her last CD, I am not into some of the music that she sang. But I do love musicals, especially fifties musicals (When You Walk Through a Storm etc)., Every single track shows off her vocal range, and the duets are delightful too, even with Donny, who I cannot say I would have considered a singer by any stretch of the imagination. But give him his due, he comes over very well here, and the two voices blend beautifully. These are the types of songs that suit Susan so well. I do hope her next CD follows something similar, perhaps another round of songs from the musicals. For me, this is her best CD by far.

Another Superb CD from Susan
Just received and played Susan's new CD. I have them all and this is just as good as the others. The duets are terrific. Have not picked out any favourites yet but as always I am looking for more when the CD finishes - too bad. (Just have to play it again!!) It would be good to have another CD - a Christmas album with the various choirs singing with Susan - very uplifting!!Love that she achieved one of her dreams to sing with Donny Osmond.I have a huge range of music that I love to listen to from 60's to modern: Adele/Emili Sande, country etc but it is equally as lovely to get a CD like Susan's as it is just a joy to listen to.

Becoming The Screaming Skull
I suspect SuBo is being ill-advised. She has a wonderful voice but does not appear to be using it to its best advantage. Some are, of course, entranced by her singing and seem incapable of recognising weaknesses one of which is that at times (and too often) she hangs on to notes too long and so spoils the song and her singing. With Over The Rainbow she moves away from the traditional melody and murders this beautiful song. Track 5, Take Me Home, was probably the best in this selection although in other tracks when accompanied by Donny Osmond he raised the enjoyment of those songs. I found difficulty at making out the lyrics in track 9 and did not recognise the tune which sounded like a cacophony of noise. The CD does not deserve a 5 star rating and even a 4 star would be OTT while three star would be too low so I will settle for a 3.5 rating (which is not provided). I still feel that she has yet to produce her best CD. Would I have bought this CD if I had heard it prior to purchase? No. It is now being resold for half the price (or less) including postage.
