White Porcelain Ramen Bowl Set - Soup Bowl With Chopsticks, Sauce Dish, Hooked Spoon Set of 2

These are BIG and that is what I was looking for. They are Melamine and I an starting to get more and more fond of that product. My last big soup bowls were pottery and chipped and pretty bad looking. One of these new bowls had a black streak in the red interior and I mentioned it to the company and they immediately sent me a second set at no cost. I didn't even have to return the original set! Now THAT is customer service, I recommend them highly but be aware that they are pretty big and I am going to use them on the table for serving bowls, too. That's a nice bonus for me and my Corelle dishes have a black pattern around the edge and match nicely for everyday use.

These are a beautiful set, make sure you look under the styrofoam for the chopsticks. I gave these to my youngest for Christmas and couldn't remember what came in the set and thank goodness she checked under the foam. I will say, while these are lovely, they don't hold a lot. If you are true ramen addicts like we are, you know the bowl should hold a lot of broth. The chopsticks also have a weird clear dot that looks like maybe polyurethane at the square end? We'll have to see how these hold up to use.

These bowls are tiny. Maybe not "tiny," but way too small for ramen in my opinion. You can not put a Shin Ramyun disc in here without breaking it into quarters, and even then it won't sit below the water line. As a result you end up trying to put more water in and it overflows when microwaved. It is also small enough that when you use your chop sticks to push your toppings into the broth it will overflow out the handles of the bowl. The base of bowl is extremely narrow (around 1" ID at the lowest point).These are fine soup bowls when paired with the spoon, but really not practical for ramen unless you're serving children.

I got this set as a gift for my brother who loves ramen noodles. So what better way to eat them if not with the right tools. I was a little worried that he might say something about the floral prints but was ok with them. I'd definitely recommend others to get these if that is what they are looking for.

I really thought by the picture that these would be bigger. I was disappointed until I used them and it turns out they were pretty perfect.The spoons are smaller than my flat bottom spoons I purchased years ago and the handles are longer but not hooked. They sit in these bowls just fine. The holes/handles can't really be used as chopstick rests but work okay for setting the table.

These are great bowls. I have porcelain ones but I needed something for my deployment to Afghanistan. These bowls will handle any ramen or pho you throw at them. They are larger than I expected but that is a good thing. I will look for more of Umami's products in the future to stock my kitchen with. The addition of simple recipes is awesome. I can't wait to try some of them.

LOVED the quality of the pieces and how beautiful the design was. However, i think the spoons are too small!! at most Ramen & dumpling places in NYC you can fit the dumpling in the spoon. Im going to order bigger spoons but love the bowls and soy sauce dishes! & Chopsticks!

These bowls are really cool... I love how they have the little holes so I can slide the chopsticks in there when I'm ready to serve supper. My husband and I don't always eat at the kitchen table so this is quite handy. So far they stand up to the dishwasher really well, and are just the right size for soup, rice, or any type of food we are eating.
