Monstrum Replacement Safety Switch for Mossberg 500/590/835/930/Shockwave/Maverick 88 Series

Initially bought the NDZ switch in FDE to match my Thunder Ranch 590s camo pattern and it did match perfectly but was extremely stiff. So stiff that it ended up scratching up the front part of the safety channel. Hat to take it off and find a solution to the stiffness and a way to hide the scraped off paint. The solution to the stiffness was cutting off a coil from the safety spring and the solution to covering up the damage the NDZ switch did was buying the MONSTRUM SWITCH. It is a bit oversized but nice!!.... it completely covers the front channel of the safety switch engaged or disengaged which is what I was looking for. The ONLY thing if find a problem with is that it isNOT available in FDE which would have been great and probably would have purchased it initially. A side note..... this switch conveniently comes with in a case with all the hardware for it to function properly EVEN a couple of BBs of a smaller diameter to eliminate any stiffness with the switch as well as a couple of torx screws and a torx key fotlr the install. Overall a VERY GIRTHY AGGRESSIVE switch that does the job..... just wish it came in FDE!!!!!

Fits and greatly improves the safty switch on my old Mossburg 500. Grips well and very easy to install.

For my shotgunthis was a NO GO. First the safety switch was agressive with sharp edges. Good and bad there. The installation went smooth but no matter how bad I tried the safety switch would not move to the fire position. I took it off reinstalled in the fire position and it worked. Then I moved the switch to the safe position and it wouldn't move off it again. I removed the safety switch and compared it to the original, which is also metal on my shotgun. I compared them and the two barring holes on the original safety, closest to the screw hole were slightly smaller than the two furthest away from the screw hole. All in all it seems like a nice addition however this doesn't work at all on my shotgun. Totally useless, waste of money.

It's ok, looks nice shape is great. Underside is very rough , filed the sharp edges off myself . Works as intended. Will go back to ndz .

It's made well and metal, so feels sturdier than the factory part. It also comes with spare screws and bearings. The only downside is it's a little tall, it could have been machined a little shorter at the base.If they had done a shorter tang (base that fits inside receiver), it would have been closer to a factory looking for and would give a better view of the front bead.Regardless it's still a nice part and I'd definitely recommend it.

Easy to find just put your finger in the general area an you will feel it . It's a little stiff when first fitted unlike the factory plastic safety slide this one is metal it will take some break-in time to get as easy to push .
