Gift for a walker, he seemed to appreciate it and I thought it looked good for beginners to show different walks and the difficulty levels, and grouped together by region. I bought another book similar and this one had different walk options so that was nice!

This book was a gift for someone who enjoys a good walk Not me, I'd rather get a lift, taxi, or drive. Nice looking book though with maps and pics

My friend mentioned that she wanted to get a walking book as the family (2 adults/3 children under 13) wanted to walk together. This was a Christmas present and they are very happy with it. They have used it a couple of times already and are planning a short holiday around one of the walks. it is very clear to follow and informative.

The walks published were well written. But the book only selected a few walks in each region, with no further suggestions to be researched. So the book was very limited if you were visiting only one region. There are other publications that are better value.

Very helpful if you're a hill walker.

A nice book for Brits taking a drive to the country for a short hike; but for others, coming to GB for extensive hiking, worthless. Maps very limited.
