Solid and convenient
Solid and convenient tape measure. I've not had this long enough to know if it will withstand a beating, but it feels very sturdy and strong. It winds up easily and quickly. The little hook-like device at the end of the measure grips pretty well, allowing for single-person operation. Out of all the tape measures I looked at, I'm glad i got this one. Slightly inconvenient is the fact that there is no metric on it, but Keson makes another model with metric. I don't know why anyone bothers making them without both. I didn't even notice, but since all I need are measurements in intervals of 1 meter, I wrote them on with a sharpee.

Great tape! But not made in U.S.
I love this measure. It is rugged enough and for the work I do it works way better than any steel tape for measuring cable runs and the like. One thing Im bummed about... I thought it was made in the USA! Its not. I take pride in my tools and 99% of them are either U.S. or German, I steer clear of chinese stuff where and when I can and figured I remember my father had one of these Kesons' and it was made in the U.S. so this must be to. WRONG! Its a shame, alot of the brands that we grew up with and were strictly made in the U.S. are now out sourcing allot if not all of there product lines. Be careful these days you really need to look at what you are buying, what you thought was made down the street is now produced in sweat shops and town-factories. Sorry, went off on a bit of a tangent:)Back to the point. Yes this is a great tape I recommend it, its just not made in U.S.A :(

excellent tape
I purchased this tape in the middle of a project when I accidentally stepped on my 100' metal tape on a concrete floor and of course it shattered. I haven't used a fiberglass measuring tape before because I thought the tape might stretch and give erroneous results. This tape has been very useful, I like the case and the edge of the tape won't cut you like a metal one sometimes will. If it has any stretch at all, I can not feel it, even pulling very tight, I think it is more than accurate enough for project where you would use a 100' tape measure. The tape has metric on one side and english markings on the other. This is occasionally useful. An excellent value.

This is still not what I was expecting. It is exactly like the one I wanted to return.
I was expecting a 2 sided tape, one with inches and the other in 10ths. Now I have to make a trip to UPS to return something I was unhappy with on to have the replacement that is exactly the same.

Excellent tape measure for appraiser
I've been using this particular model/brand of tape for 6+ years and they work great for my job. They are very strong and easy to rewind. When they break it is usually the metal clip end that breaks not the fiberglass tape itself. Keep in mind i measure 300+ houses on average a year through all types of weather. They make a 100ft length as well but I like the 50 ft for appraisals as it is long enough for most houses and is much easier to carry when measuring.
