Works
Very first thing I ever bought on Amazon (this) never showed up. Years later I ordered again. It works. Not many purposes for this considering no internal battery. But it does work

Go hiking 🥾
If you are trying to charge a phone to call a friend. It will be faster to walk 5 miles to your friend's house have a conversation, and walk back.I heard you can charge a power bank with it, then use that to charge your phone.

Produces an inconsistent power output.
Produces an inconsistent power output. You cannot crank and recharge a cell phone. It will not show up as a charging device. It's better to get a crank rechargeable battery pack from Amazon.

Not for 12v
Not high enough gearing to charge a 12v battery. You'd have to spin it faster than your arm can go continuously.

Make believe product
Pretending to be a preparedness hand crank generator. This is a plastic gear permanent stator motor outfitted with some electronics that are standard and not high efficiency. You’re cranking against losses with low rpm with no interim mass wheel balancing fluctuations. This is not efficient. This needs a low loss switching boost converter instead of firing off losses to make 5V. I’m throwing out the board and motor will do my own. Only keeping the case. Pretty much bought an expensive case.

Sometimes doesn't work
When I crank it sometimes it doesn't produce a charge. Otherwise ok product I guess
