After that the finish is super smooth and glossy
I am using a buffer for the first time and got those buffing pads to finish up a wooden table I am working on. In short, I added several layers of spar and then sanded everything down with 1500 grid sand paper. This did not just take any imperfections out but also all shine was gone. Then I added some Meguiar M205 and polished it with those buffing pads. After that the finish is super smooth and glossy. I am very happy with the result. I don't have experience (yet) with other pads but those definitely contributed to a great result.

Good pad
I haven't used lambs wool pads before so can't really compare this to something similar but it appears to be well made and held up to being washed after the first time I used it. It's not very abrasive so it doesn't remove wax incredibly well but I used a cotton cloth to remove the bulk of the wax and then polished any remainder with this wool pad with good results.

Good polishing pads
Does a good polishing when used with polish compound. No scratches! Has an easy hook and loop which is great for attaching to sander and removing when done buffing.

Happy with the product, but didn't get the job done fully
I used these with an orbital sander to buff the clear coat on an electric guitar I made. They fit perfectly fine, but they didn't really buff as well as I'd hoped. I think it was more the kinetic pattern of the sander itself that wasn't conducive for buffing, more so than the pads.On the sander it was a long time of focusing on the same spot before the buffing compound diminished and the shiny surface appeared. In fact I don't recall ever going long enough to see the compound diminish entirely. Usually I would stop to examine and then wipe it away with a cloth to realize it wasn't there yet. However when I took the pad off the sander and buffed with it manually by hand in circular patterns, the pads worked better ha. All that to say, I'm not sure these are functionally ideal for a palm sander the way I used them. But again that's not a knock on the quality of the product, just on the functionality as a whole.

They appeared thicker in the pictures but they work fine.

What a Shine!
I bought a pack of these wool pads thinking that someday they will come in handy while detailing my cars. The other day I used some Meguiars Blue polish with Ceramic and just for fun, ran a new wool pad over the newly waxed surface and POW! It buffed the wax to a very high shine.....way more shine than I have ever seen from detailing the car. Using a wool pad on my buffer is now part of the my normal detailing.
