Works Great!
I have a small boat with an internal fuel tank. I was going to buy an electric pump to transfer fuel from the can to the tank, but saw this device. It works very well.

Easy to Operate, Simple
I use this siphon where I bartend to remove standing water from the beer buckets after the ice melts down. The water makes the buckets heavier than they ought to be, and making it difficult to carry them from place to place. By placing the bucket on the bar and lowering the siphon tube downwards into the sink, it easily removes most of the water in a very shot time. I have two of these. I use one at home to remove water from various places when I'm working. Remember, the bucket needs to be placed higher than the hose. Water won't flow uphill That's how a siphon works.

Easy to use and fast flow rate!
Wow! Great Siphon, keep the outlet lower than the inlet and shake the inlet rapidly for several seconds and you’re off to the races. Solid materials in my opinion, although I did not measure its flow rate I did test it in a five gallon bucket. I filled the bucket and let the hose continue to run until it was over flowing. The bucket was placed on a table about three feet off the ground. I inserted siphon and shook, with the garden tap still flowing and within two minutes the bucket was empty to the put the siphon quit sucking the water level dropped below 1/2-3-4” of an inches. Great item just to keep around in the event of a flood or some other plumbing emergency.

Works if you fiddle with it enough...
This thing works. It's a bit finicky though. I'm not convinced that the glass bead inside forms a very good seal and so you are kind of fighting with getting it to move fluid through the tube faster than it leaks out of past the valve on the copper end. Once you get the tube full of fluid (and empty of air) however it is self-sustaining and continues drawing fluid indefinitely. I use this to syphon gas out of my motorcycle gas tank to fill 1-litre fuel bottles which are otherwise impossible to fill directly from a gas pump.

Shake siphons are the best
These shake siphons make life so much easier, whether it's fueling a boat or a truck. They make refueling less messy and hands free. Keep in mind the wider the gauge hose, the quicker the fill.

Great siphon
I have to admit that I did not know what to expect when I bough this siphon, but it works great! I use it to fuel my tractor. The fuel cap is located on the top of the hood which is hard to reach without spilling using a 5 gallon can. I can sit the fuel can on the bucket arm and siphon fuel easily and fast into the tank.

Awesome design but hose too short
Shaker syphons are an amazingly simple device that is so simple in design and so flawless in operation that all boaters should have one (to add fuel from jerry cans and similar to their fuel tanks). Just ONE flow with this manufacturer's offering... the hose is just TOO short! In the real world this product will fall short - the device works just fine but the hose provided won't work many real world applications. If you don't mind replacing the delivery end of the hose, you will be just fine - if not, the produce falls SHORT.

Excellent Tool
This is THE best tool for anyone that needs to fill a boat gas tank from a gas can. This little siphon easily gets every drop out of your gas can into the boat. No drips, spills or awkward pouring situations. Every boat owner should have one of these on deck.
