First and foremost, I absolutely appreciate the ingredients in this bar shampoo! I have a 10 year old male Boxer who has been struggling with folliculitis and dermatitis for about 8 months (we still don’t know the trigger of it). He’s has been on multiple rounds of antibiotics, but we were also advised to give him biweekly/weekly baths to keep his skin clean. The dermatologist gave us a prescription shampoo that made his dermatitis SO MUCH WORSE to the point he lost over 50% of his fur and his skin was darkened. I decided I didn’t like the shampoo chemicals and wanted to try something natural and soothing. Did some research and found this shampoo bar. It has worked INCREDIBLY on his skin and he has been breakout free for 6 weeks now. I have to attribute this to the shampoo because that is the only thing I changed throughout this process.I love the lather, however it takes a bit of time to work up to a rich lush lather. I use tons of water. I find the bar difficult to use... it’s too big to hold in my hand and it’s very slippery so it just pops out of my hand every time. My dog HATES when I try to rub the bar on his body, he doesn’t have much fat or fur on him so I think it hurts him. So instead, I have to soap up my hands and keep doing that to soap up his body... which takes soooo much time (he’s a big boy). And it takes A LOT of soap to create a lather that I can work into his fur and skin. But once soaped and lathered, it rinses off fast and easy.I also personally like the subtle natural scent, and to be honest I don’t think it’s humane to use harsh scented products on animals... it’s more for humans but I believe it’s harmful for dogs to breath in scents.Overall I think the quality of the soap is excellent, I just find it very hard to use.

The best thing about this bar is it takes the aggravation out of bath time. I no longer struggle with getting too much soap in one area and not enough in others. This also solves the "did I get all the soap rinsed off???" riddle. The soap rinses out very easy, most likely because you don't get it concentrated in spots like you do with liquid shampoo.Even though its a bar it does lather up nicely. It really does whiten. My paint horse lives outside 24/7 (he has access to a stall if he wants) so his white parts get very dingy. One bath and it seems like the sun is beaming off him like a mirror. He never looks that good with the regular shampoos. My neighbor even stopped by to ask what I did to him. She almost didn't recognize him.I also used this on my two big dogs. Sooooo easy to get those bellies washed. So far, I have washed 2 great dane size dogs and 2 horses, and the bar is about 1/3 gone. If I had used a regular bottle, it would be all gone after all that. The bar lasts way longer. I never buying anything else.edit: So I bought this the end of August (its now Feb 15) and have consistently been bathing the animals and I just now am to the point of needing another bar. I think I still have one more round of baths left in what I have but it would be pushing it. Worth the money!

I use this to wash my hair. I have white hair and the well water at my house turns my hair yellow. This wash bar wirks great and leaves my hair very soft and clean

I bought this for my horse but I use it on my dogs as well. With respect to my horse it really gives a last sheen and shine. I bathed her the day before a trailride, put her to pasture that night, and the next day with a simple brushing it looked like I just washed her. I was extremely pleased. In dealing with my dogs I use it more for my elderly dog who has bad skin irritation. With most shampoos/conditioners they only last a day or so(if that), but this one I can get several days before he will begin scratching himself. You can easily see the become a little more healthy than what it was before. I highly recommend.

The best horse product in my tack box!!! No regular shampoo keeps my horses white socks so white. Everyone I know has converted to the wash bar vs regular liquid shampoo.

GREAT product. Very concentrated, so don't let the price make you shy away. It says its for horses, but I use it without issue on my dogs. I have three schnauzers, and they get a bath about every two weeks. This bar has so far lasted for a couple of months! The bar is easy to use. I rub it right against the dogs' skin and hair, and it works perfectly. I was worried about some of the reviews saying it lacked lather, but I haven't noted that. My middle dog has dry skin on her back, and schnauzers tend to get clogged pores. This product is excellent for both. I will definitely re-buy!

I love this bar of soap! Not only does it get your horse really clean, it kills fungus and gets the yellow stains out of your horse’s white mane and tail. No more purple or blue hands from whiting shampoo! No more waiting for the purple or blue shampoo to work. Just wash and rinse. Genius! Works great on dogs too! Helps with any hot spots or itchy skin.

I’m sincerely disturbed and not sure i even want to use this product or handle it. When I opened the bag it came in a puff of white powder burst into the air. Straight up like what people expect when anthrax is in an unmarked package. Like is my flesh about to fall off!? To make matters worse the powder burned my nostrils when I accidentally inhaled some of it. So yeah, super disturbed and idk if I’ll be using this product at all.
