Truly night and day difference
Like some others, I was skeptical. Having a few years experience in professional car audio installs back in the early 00's, I am very leery and jaded of anything that seems new and not personally vetted. It's just discs and rings of foam, how effective could it be at improving mid bass? The answer is, VERY. I installed Infinity 6x9s in the rear of my car, and 6" Infinity components in the front, along with sound deadenwr, 10 GA wire ran to each corner from my 4-channel amp to each crossover and from there all the way into the dkors, yet I got almost no bass, particularly in the front. There was a prominent sonic hole between my 12" subs' output and the mids, and I couldn't take it anymore, after sending so much money upgrading everything including the head unit, battery, chassis ground, and alternator wiring under the hood in a 14-hour installer marathon after being out of the hobby for 15 years. No amount of EQIng could improve the midbass where there was none to be found. All that changed when I installed these foam cutouts.I had to trim the pieces that stick to the front edge of the woofer frames, careful not to adhere it to the surrounds, and cutting away enough so that the door panels did not compact them and cause them to collapse in on themselves. Once that was done and I put my car back together, as I stated in the title, it was a night and day difference. There was no confirmation bias, because I honestly expected to be disappointed. I almost WANTED to be disappointed, so I'd be reaffirmed in my belief that nothing has really changed in car audio in all these years. I was wrong. I suddenly had midbass. My front speakers finally thumped and kicked like I had expected them to when I first installed them. I could now turn my sub volume all the way down, and still have a nice bass line present in all types of music. There is no longer a sonic hole between the highs and the low end bass, and my only regret is not installing this simple material 4 months ago when I initially upgraded my system. This stuff truly works, so even if you think your midbass sounds decent now, you might just be leaving bass on the table. It will make your music sound richer, fuller, and closer to how it actually should sound. Do yourself a favor and buy these foam add-ons--they truly do work wonders.

Amazing results on 2002 Dodge Ram 1500
Received and installed today 02/06/2021. Simple install, just followed instruction on packaging. Can I just say, HOLY CRAP. My 02' Dodge Ram 1500 had zero bass response in the doors. The doors had already been sound deadened and sealed. These turned it all around. The doors now produce amazing mid bass compared the empty lack of bass I had before. Night and day difference. Amazing product and very worth the purchase. If you have zero results you probably did it wrong. Amazing for my dodge ram. Looking for smaller size for the rear doors now

You will hear the difference in the quality and loudness
This is a great product to improve the sound quality of your speakers and can be used as a stand alone product. But it's designed to be used with sound deading mats on the inside of your doors. I also used the foam sound deading rolls on the outside of the door. So if you ever need to remove it you can. I also lined the door panel with the foam. I have no rattles or vibrations on both sides of the doors and the bass you gain is huge. Using this product with sound deading will make huge difference in how your system will sound. I spent less than 500$ on the whole system. That's the deck, front and rear speakers, amp, and all the accessories. Sound deadening and these rings when used together completely changes how your stereo sounds for the better. I would recommend using road kill to anyone replacing the stock speakers. What you will notice the most is how they focus the sound into the car. It will be louder and cleaner than before. If your looking for more bass you need to install sound deading mats inside the door and on the door frame or use foam matt sound deader.

Easy Install for Great Sound
The foam rings arrived as expected. They were easy to install and had good adhesion. I had to remove one a couple times during install and it still held to the door like it did the first time.Directions were easy to follow and trimming the rings was a breeze. The sound quality is WAY better although I can't comment how much is due to the foam rings vs. the new JBL speakers. Either way, these rings are an inexpensive add-on to ensure great sound quality. When ordering, note that 1 package of rings will install 2 speakers.

Speakers come alive!
I bought these to help a set of adapter rings that were listed as fitting an 08 Subaru Outback, which they do sorta.... They bolt up fine, the screw pattern is there, but with a gap towards the front edge of the door. At first I used some Gorilla Tape and.some RTV, but that wasn't enough. Using the Road Kill foam rings made a huge difference. I removed the speaker from the ring and stuffed the smaller {cut down} foam ring around the inner perimeter of the adapter and stretched the bigger one around the outside circumference stuck to the door itself. A WORLD of difference! In the back, I used them more "traditionally" as a basket for the modified stock rings and again stretched around the outside circumference of the speaker ring mounted to the door. The sound out of my new 6.5 JVC speakers won't touch my old 6x9 3 ways, but they're far better with the Road Kill rings than without. They're much more focused and they sound more like they're "in the car" than before I installed them. I installed the speakers, drove around for a day, then turned around and ordered these rings. I should've bought them when I bought the speakers. Don't get me wrong, I still need an underseat subwoofer, but these will allow me to wait until it cools off to install one.5 month update: The speakers have broken in properly (yes, that's a thing) and with the foam rings in place they sound pretty damn good in a car with no OEM sound deadening material in / on the doors. Obviously, having any sound deadening material would be leaps and bounds better, but these help. The subwoofer was a good choice too.
