This is an awesome way of implementing underfloor heating into your home in the room of your choice. Bear in mind that you will of course need to remove your current flooring to get this in, so it might be worth waiting until you're looking to replace your flooring to do this. If you have easy connect laminate flooring, then it'll be easier to do, but I'd still recommend installing these at the same time as when you're replacing your entire floor. The thermostat works great and the heating is surprisingly nice. It feels great to walk on a floor that's heated from below. Would recommend!

I ordered this not having a clue how I would get it fitted - I just knew I wanted something to sort the freezing floor in the open plan living/diner.Instructions are comprehensive and easy to understand. Installation took 2 days as had to take up laminate, fit the mat and then relay laminate on top. Was a bit dubious about doing it ourselves but was relatively simple. Mat slightly smaller than the room but works okay. Did have an issue with the cable - ended up putting it under a plasic cable strip to the power supply.Thermostat works fine and app is easy to use - havent been able to get it hooked to smart life app which we use for other smart appliances though.Works fine we have it on just first thing in the morning for an hour - cost is minimal as we have solar panels and only use when it is light so cant comment on the power drain.

I installed electric underfloor heating in our main en-suite a couple of years ago and we love having it. It’s only on for a couple of hours each morning but is well worth having. This kit from EconoHome will go in the family bathroom, including under the shower area.It isn’t installed yet but the quality is clear, especially in comparison with the older mats. The instructions are well-written, invaluable for anyone who hasn’t installed u/f before. There are plenty of helpful YouTube videos too. The thermostat is basic but adequate. It seems usable enough, although it should be easier to manage the system through the app or even Alexa/Google.When measuring up before ordering, take care to get it right. I found it worth marking the mat path on the floor with chalk, then measuring the lengthy of the path. You want to cover as much of the floor as possible, without overlapping. The wires can be detached from the mat to run into tricky spaces. When you install, it’s easiest to work from the far end of the path back to the doorway, from where the wires can be run up to the stat. Our bathroom has stud partition walls, so I fed the wires through the door frame into the wall and fished them up through the hole in the wall that I made for the stat.I have to do some work on the room first, but am delighted to have this and will install it over the summer. I’m deducting a star though, simply because it’s a little cheaper to buy the components individually, but the kit with its excellent instructions makes sense for first-time installers.

The Mat and Thermostat arrived well packaged and looks very strong but flexible enough to work with.This was ordered as it is almost perfect timing for a log cabin that I have yet to put flooring down. Fortunately I have not ordered anything but as I was looking at putting down hard vinyl, I now need to research good fireproofing/fitting methods for this type of heating. The flooring is thin enough to be embedded in screed/levelling compound and according to the instructions supplied looks like it should be fairly easy to install - continuing the element by turning back on itself after cutting away from the mesh (using just scissors) to continue. The instructions are fairly comprehensive for all floor types as is the information for the WiFi thermostat. Fortunately, once finished an electrician will be signing off this and other feeds to the cabin and putting in a consumer unit, so I am fairly confident that I can attempt this myself.The thermostat uses the Warmme App (4/5 stars on app store) that I have yet to download but it is Alexa and Google Home friendly making it really good value with the mat.If there are any problems with install/Thermostat/App then I will update here (unless it is user error), but so far this looks very promising and I am really pleased with it.
