The package comes with a variety of sizes, most of which can accommodate a 1.2 mm cord of any type. The issue with an elastic cord is that it narrows when stretched and that makes it easier to pull out of the fastener. The produce package is a bargain and not a great investment to try. Just keep in mind that stretching the cord significantly is the potential issue. I use these to avoid double tying shoe laces - I just put a lace loop through the fastener and pull tight against the shoe. Works great.

Good assortment of clips. Used with paracord to form retaining loops. Seem to do pretty well if they get wet. Also, having an assortment allows me to see which of the clips I like best. Some are better in particular applications. Can’t beat the quality for the price.
