I use this for wok cooking. It gets hot, fast and stays there. Just be careful or you will be burning off arm hair. Works great with a very high flame. Love this thing!

Extremely powerful burner. I have not figured how to operate on low power without generating yellow flame. This is definitely for outdoor use only and would be an extreme fire risk if used indoors. Excellent burner for someone recycling lead outdoors.

This is a serious source of heat and works very well on both woks and flat bottom pans. Don't use it for low heat however, it will cover the bottoms of the pans with black soot if it is turned too low. When using with a wok, you can cook a meal in minutes without overcooking the food. Too little heat makes the food steamed instead of stir fried. With enough heat, everything stir fries perfectly.

The media could not be loaded. The burner is very hot. It can turn your wok red hot if you want it to be; seasoning a carbon steel wok was a breeze. I made some alterations to the burner on one of the top sides. I riveted a piece of sheet metal to redirect the flames away from my hands without the added shield. I also added a ball valve at the burner so I did not have to mess with the regulator. When the burner is on full blast, it burns about 5 pounds of propane per hour. It puts out a scorching flame and can seriously hurt you if you don't take precautions. It signed all the hair off my arm one of the first times using it. Overall it exceeded my expectations, would purchase again.

This thing is great! I half to turn it down as it heat my oil and/or water extremely fast.

I am thrilled with this propone burner. It is study and efficient. I am excited for all of the ways that I might use this in the future. First, I live in New England and have just started boiling maple syrup. This burner will go a long way into making some sweet delicous syrup from my backyard. Later in the year, I will be using this burner for boiling lobsters. I'm not a huge fan of the crusty king of the sea, but my family loves them. Even further into the year, as we enter fall, I see this burner going with me to watch the New England Patriots reclaim a glory that was once theirs. I will cook chilis, soups, and maybe more lobsters! All year round this burner will fire!
