I chose this one to replace my other washable filter. This looks like a strong filter. My only concern comes from the foam inside. It seems very porous and I am unsure how well that will block the allergens. Perhaps there is some "90% blocked" or something cause I can't see how it will stop all 100%. I've not had it long enough to test the washing and drying and all yet. I added some pictures so you could see what I was talking about from the metal work to the foam filter too.

Last February, I moved into a mobile home that must have been uninhabited for several years. I tried many ways to ridding of the smell, to no avail. It was literally beginning to get on my nerves and I had began researching new filters when an electrician nephew posted an A/C tip on Facebook. Five days later, the smell IS GONE!!!

I have an old Paul Harvey endorsed electrostatic furnace filter. When the weather is really warm I felt that the old filter restricted too much air flow causing excessive condensation in the AC exchange coils. The Trophy Air filter definitely lives up to the low-restriction claim as the increase in air flow is noticeable. I cannot say how well it filters. Because of the condensation problem I often run without a filter in the summers. This is certainly better than no filter. If the wild fires continue I may have to switch to a better disposable filter but for now it is working great for my purpose!

I've had issues with filters that were 20 x 20 x 1. This is a bit smaller and thus I can now just slide it into the filter cavity without having to trim the sides!

So far we are very happy

Filters are standard sized and fit loosely in my return housing, as others have in the past. I purchased adhesive foam weather stripping for a few dollars; applied them to the outer edges, for a perfect airtight fit. could not rate their changeability, but anticipate no issues based on my past experience with such filters. They appear to be well constructed and should prove quite durable.
