iiyama B2283HS-B3 21.5" ProLite Height Adjustable HD LED Monitor - Black

Brought this for my sons gaming computer to be used as a second monitor. It works great and is a really good monitor to use. This monitor is great because it is a good size and good quality. The speakers haven’t been used much, but are still handy to have. The monitor is being used in the portrait position and this position is really useful for displaying data. This position goes well with a first monitor or on its own. The adjustments make it useful on a number of desks and gives a lot of different positions helping to make it accessible as well. The video quality and different adjustments make it a really useful and recommend monitor.

Wasn’t familiar with this brand but decided to give it a shot because of the price. I was not disappointed. Resolution is excellent and the tilt and height adjustment is just what I was looking for. Well worth the price.

I plugged this into an iMac as a secondary screen with the intention to have it in portrait as shown in the picture. The picture is good for a 1080 monitor. Whilst I should appreciate it for what it is, it is admittedly a bit of a step down from 5K retina to say the least, so I was, at least for a moment, regretting not getting a 4K. As a secondary monitor, this is good for the purpose at this price point. It works fluidly for extra desktop space. Colours and vivid.Negatives:Viewing angle ( for dark colours especially) isn't good. Dark colours wash out of view at around 30 degrees out of central in the field of view. I would have expected this issue to be improved. Adjustment for up and down is smooth, but the button on the back, which is meant to allow you to slide it, does nothing since it slides easily regardless of touching the button. Though it slides well, the screen unit stays put. The rotate function is quick, easy and effortless though it doesn't rotate all the way round in landscape. It settles bent at an angle. I need to push it (risking breakage) easing it into the horizontal position, from where it gradually makes its way back to the crooked state. Thankfully, I'm not intending on using it in landscape....at least not yet.The unit feels quite plasticky. Whilst it accepted that this is the material this and most monitors are made from, it's the type of build that feels a bit hollow and thin. Creaky too. When I removed the monitor from the box there was something rattling inside too which doesn't fill me full of confidence. Nonetheless, the monitor works and I'm sure I see something drop out of it.SummaryOn the whole, I'm pleased with it and I'm enjoying using it despite those points. I'm confident that it's not going to be resold at any time since I threw out the box...and I always keep boxes in my loft.Overall, it's a decent monitor for the price, though it's old technology and doesn't pretend to be anything else.

Bought as additional screen for laptop. Works well with Surface dock - though the sound quality is fine, it's not really loud enough to use for video calls, for example, as even at max volume it's only just loud enough. Great for background, unobtrusive music though.

Overhead wall units in the corner of the Study limited the width and height space available for viewing the TV screen.With height adjustment and the 21" scteen in the corner, I am able to maximise the view in the limites space.If your needs are similar, this is a great screen at a fantastic price. Other users of this screen gave it five stars as well.
