Sarah. . .thank you for your email. I wish I could give this 5 stars but I can't. I have been researching portable PA systems since October for my line dance group. My little Amazon Echo just was not loud enough and having a portable microphone would also help me expand my voice. I had it down to your unit and a competitor unit. I usually do a good job researching items (especially in areas that are not familiar to me) but I missed it on this. One of the photos on the Amazon page for your product showed a guy playing the guitar and your unit was in front of him and looked as it it was knee high in height so that led me to believe that the 27" height included the handle when raised. I made the decision to go with your PA system. When it arrived, I honestly could not believe how big it was but unboxed it and plugged it in to charge. It charged 9 hours and would not take a charge. I knew then that I needed to return it. Then I had the next surprise that I could NOT return it due to special handling. If I had known that I would never have purchased it. In all the years I have been shopping at Amazon and online, I do my homework so that I don't have to return and I think I have only had one return with Amazon. . . so I was very surprised when I went to return this that it indicated I could not return and that I was to call or chat or email with Amazon. I spoke with Amazon after I realized that it would not take a charge. The Amazon rep said they would refund my money and that I was NOT to return it. They have refunded my credit card on file. I would like to make a suggestion that in the description area if you have control over that area, that you make it very clear that the item is NOT returnable. I would also suggest making it a little clearer on how big it is. I am 68 years young and weigh 118 pounds fully clothed and although I am strong, this thing is a beast and I have to be able to lift it into my car to transport it to our dance sites. Not an easy thing for me. I am giving this 2 stars due to the dead battery on arrival.

Bottom-line: Excellent for this price with amazing array of capabilities. Our requirements: budget portable system to present/speak/preach, karaoke and party PA, outdoor movie nights audio. After extensive research and contacts to many manufacturers/sellers (Pyle, etc) - this totally blows away all comparisons with its features. And that means it gets used all the time for many of our different activities and is even a better value! Not a system that will go unused- get your money’s worth! Pros- Bluetooth is great for all-around audio connection for our devices to play as a general BT speaker anytime and our need to connect for movie-nights and karaoke. Excellent range and use with new BT 4.1 - power: I was able to employ my old 12v car audio amp to power some nice Bose 201 speakers laying around unused: amazing. Performs perfectly! Fully portable super stereo sound for movies, parties and every day use (radio, BT streaming)! There are other add-on amps/products and ways to connect and make this audio setup work because the built in features of the Owlee system. Oh-yeah, and it’s crazy loud and LED flashing style if you wondered about that too. - Super features: all around versatility for connecting my guitar, or keyboard (handles both great!). Add more mics (wired, or another wireless system via mic/line or Aux), yup, did that too for more singers/speakers presenting. Tons of adjustments to tune sound / devices in and out. And a REMOTE for BT/USB/radio - awesome! - Built in wheels, handle, and sidehandles, and stand mount! Lays on side as a monitor also. - NONE of the other systems at this price have all these features and versatility that I could find.Cons: - big and heavy. Well. Duh. See the pics how I “hide” it behind an end table for everyday use and access. It is heavy to load in/out of car, but the side handles help. - mics are mediocre quality and performance. At this price and with all the other features - what did we expect? That’s why we used add-on other higher quality (big brand) wired/wireless mic when needed. Most of the needs are met by the included Mics. And the kids are hard on mics anyway.- wierd FM antenna wire thingy? Not sure why not an actual telescope mast detachable one. Whatever. Most stations we need come in fine with no antenna attached.- flaky LED lights: you have to really have a loud and heavy base audio on to “activate” the lights to flash along with the music. Temper your flashy-party expectations with this.- power: read and follow the instructions! The battery system cannot be always plugged into AC or it overcooks the battery. You have to unplug AC power and run off battery for a while to cycle it. It should have a better battery/power management system (but for this price...). If needed, the battery is accessible and can be replaced if needed (great feature!). And when running my 12v accessories AMP - they are always getting power from the battery even when the Owlee is off- and that kills the battery- so they need to be disconnected (or add and in-line on/off) switch to the external power if needed- wish it had powered-audio out so it did not need another powered speaker of amp. Oh well.- if you want more- spend more.

When I first received the product I was very concerned because I couldn't get it to work. However, after reaching out the company via "send seller feedback" they called me the next morning and walked me through it over the phone. There is no real instructions included in the packaging, however it really isn't hard to use the issue I was having is my husbands phone wasn't working with it. He has an OLD phone and I believe it must be too outdated for the software to connect properly. Once I hooked up my IPhone it worked great. The product is much larger than I expected, as I am use to seeing the Wal-Mart version Karaoke machines but this is more of a professional grade. The Owlee staff was very polite and like I said responded very quickly to my SOS as I purchased this for a upcoming party and wouldn't have time to wait for a replacement. I would def recommend even just for a nice Bluetooth speaker to listen to music on.

Right now, we can only get one microphone to work and the LED lights are not working. I think if it worked right, it would definitely be a great purchase. I also need to purchase an auxiliary cord to connect my laptop to the speaker. I was able to get my phone to connect through Bluetooth, but the music would not play through the speaker. I wish the product guide provided more technical support. The website support doesn’t provide any assistance either. I really want to believe this is a good purchase, but it has been initially frustrating.
