API Ammo Lock 8oz / 237ml

I always use API products and they continue to not disappoint! I had an ammonia issue in my fresh water tank. Followed the directions and bam, 1st time it worked like a charm and my ammonia is at "0".

Got this after trying other products that say they help control Ammonia but to no effect. However API Ammo Lock actually worked after just 3 treatments, very impressed with this product.

When I initially used it, it made the tank water cloudy. Did some research and realised it could be because I used a little too much. Reduced quantity and cloudy water is no longer an issue. Hard to tell if ammonia level is down but fish are doing great so I kept using it with every water change.

I have had 2 goldfish for about a year now; I am still learning a lot about how to take care of them. One thing I learned the hard way was not to wash filter media in clean water (use tank water instead) - using clean water will crash your nitrogen cycle and cause an ammonia spike. The first (and only) time I made this mistake, I used this product to get those ammonia levels down to 0% in a day; after that, I was able to re-establish the cycle quickly with daily water changes of 25-50% a day and a bottle of beneficial bacteria. Goldfish produce a lot of waste, and this already drives up the ammonia levels. This product has been a lifesaver whenever ammonia levels have spiked in my tank; hoping that I won't face this problem again in my new 125-gallon tank but if I do, I'll be turning to API Ammo Lock.
