This was a Christmas gift for my 13 year old son, but it would suit younger players too. It is much simpler to play than "real" monopoly, having fewer spaces on the board and less complicated rules. We played it as a family with me (45), my daughter (16 and 10), and my sons (13 and 11). Everyone could understand, but it was still competitive enough that the older kids did not get bored.I love that Bowser circles the board and can mess up players or take their money.The one drawback is that if you get too far behind in coins, it seems impossible to catch up. There is a rule that if you land on an available property, you HAVE to buy it. Depending on how you roll, this can use up all your money early on. Then you can't pay rent, have to mortgage your properties, and can't collect rent to pay them off.Still, it is fun to play.

This is a very fun game to play especially if you are a Mario fan. A few things to note, this is based specifically off the Mario Bros. movie, not the "Marioverse", but it is still fun. It is simplified with only coins (1's and 5's) for the money, so that aspect is more kid friendly and also there are only 2 properties per color as opposed to 3 for some in the regular Monopoly. There are also some different rules to keep track of that regard a large Bowser piece, but after playing 2 or 3 times we were able to get the hang of it as a family. The game is also a little short than the traditional Monopoly game, so no more Monopoly marathons, our games usually take right around an hour, as opposed to the 2-3+ Monopoly takes.

This is great as an introduction to Monopoly for kids who love Mario. Interesting changes to the game using coins. Not bad at all. Not regular Monopoly at all so don’t expect that.

Bought this game for our thanksgiving get away. We played it for hours! The kids loved the characters and the chase of Bowser. It’s fun and easy to learn. Even my 6 year old loved. He was learning the coin system quickly and loved counting. It’s fun for all ages! We never bankrupted so this game goes on forever!
