Dell 091N324 P2418HT 24-Inch Touch LED FHD 1080p Monitor - Black

So far I love everything about it. The picture quality, responsive multi-touch feature, color quality and of course the OSD not being localized (I hate it when it is).Bought this for my folks. Now if only they started making 28"-30" 4K HDR versions with decent response times (so as not to affect my games too much) while remaining IPS, then I'd buy two of them to replace my existing non-touch monitors.

I wanted to add touch to my PC and this really did the trick, so much so that I replaced my 2 x 24in 1080p screens with a 3-screen configuration with 2 of these touch screens and 1 additional 24in 1080p screen.I needed some help from DELL because at first, whether I touched screen 1 or screen 2, the touch was detected and actioned on screen 1. DELL support pointed me to "Tablet PC Settings" in Control Panel where you can very easily tell Windows that you have more than one touch screen and identify which is which.I have one of those desktops that can be raised to a standing position. These DELL touch screens have "trick" stands where you can bring the base of the screen towards you and it lowers the back of the screen to achieve a sloping tablet position - great when standing up. There are plenty of good YouTube video reviews that show this in action. And the base is heavy enough not to tip up whilst moving the screens around.I use these 2 screens (and the 3rd one) with a KVM switch. One PC uses HDMI and a USB-VGA connector from the KVM's USB hub (the third screen being on a second USB-VGA connector), and the other PC uses a VGA connector and the same USB-VGA connector from the KVM's USB hub (with the third screen on the same second USB-VGA connector), and the screens instantly recognise the switch and change modes.Touch sensitivity is good and accurate - mostly I use my finger but sometimes a stylus.The image is good quality and bright. Now there are some reviews that say that the image quality is not that great, but I think that this is largely subjective and it depends on what you use it for. I use it mostly for IT development, web browsing, streaming, PhotoShop and video editing. I find it perfect for all of these.Possibly if you were a commercial artist then you might be able to discern the difference between this and a much more expensive screen, and if you were an avid gamer then maybe you could see some difference. For my usage - they're perfect, and exactly what I have come to rely on DELL providing in terms of technology and build quality. I don't always buy DELL by any means, but when I do I know I'm on safe grounds.

Pros: a great sparkling screen, just a comfortable size for my desk, and I love being able to tilt or move it up or down on its double-jointed stand depending on which type of program I am using and my mood. You can use a mouse, your finger or a capacitive stylus to open programs and move icons. My stylus works with MSPaint as well as with several free downloadable drawing programsIt has 4 USB ports – two at the back with the other ports and two on the left side of the frame.Would have deserved five star if not for the cons:Cons: though on the Amazon site it states that an HDMI and a VGA cable are included, the HDMI cable – the only attachment my computer has - was missing. I discovered that when you go to ‘MY ORDERS’ to report faulty goods, you can click on ‘GET PRODUCT SUPPORT’ and ask to be phoned or open a ‘CHAT’ with Amazon or with the supplier. I contacted Amazon. The respondent sent me a link to an HDMI cable and issued a credit for the cost, I ordered the cable and it was delivered the same day. Great service but Amazon needs to sort this problem. On the Amazon site it says the monitor has 2 HDMI ports but in fact has one HDMI port, a VGA port and a DP port.I hate the tiny raised adjustment buttons on the underside of the frame on the lower right. They are a bit stiff so the monitor shakes when you press them. I have small hands and find them fiddly. Pudgy fingers would find them a real problem, I know you won’t need them frequently once you’ve adjusted the monitor to how you like it, but they’d be better as bigger tabs on the back at the side like other monitors.And why don’t they include clearer instructions? The included sheet of paper has unhelpful drawings showing the three included cables – the VGA, DP and special USB cable all attached. I assumed I just needed to attach the ‘missing’ HDMI cable – fortunately I had one from my old monitor. It wasn’t until I had spent ages online trying to find how to make my touch screen active - not being able to download or find the necessary HID-Compliant-Touch Screen in my Device Manager – that I finally downloaded the Manual. In Troubleshooting, I discovered the problem. Simple - I needed to attach the special USB cable as well as the HDMI cable. The HID-Compliant Touch Screen immediately appeared in my Device Manager and all was well.

It worked for all of a minute before the touchscreen stopped working. Upon rebooting the system, the touchscreen would work for a minute and then fail. Tried many times, same result.When it worked, it was fantastic, thus the 5 stars.The Amazon customer service was 5 stars as well. Used the call button from inside my profile, and straight to a human being on the other end of the line. They arranged for a call to a Del Technician. We spent over an hour on the problem, but even he couldn't get the system working. Really the only feeling that I got is that this product might only work properly on a Del desktop.

A neat piece of kit - the touch responsiveness is very natural, it's like a gigantic tablet. Resolution is great, but I would suggest you use the DP cable rather than VGA (both included). Practically no back light reflection. I think I've made a very good choice here.
