Tried to connect 2 smartphone microphones to my android, both have 3.5mm jack, but it didn't work. Can anyone explain what I can do before returning

This is not really designed for microphones. You do not normally connect microphones in parallel. Are they stereo microphones?

It works well for any 3.5mm audio out jack plug . You can plug it into any audio out and send audio to 2 different sources , ie , speakers , headphones ect .

Can I use both for microphone ?

Yes, depending on which type of jack and microphone that you have. It works on mine.

Can i use this to listen to audio from my ps4 and also for audio from my phone so that I can talk to my friends on discord?

No you can’t. It’s designed to split the audio from one device to two headsets, not the other way around
