Perfect!
Great for big loafs! Works perfectly, faster than our previous Dualit and nice even toasting. If I had to complain, I'd whine about the build feels light weight and the finish is a faux chrome...but it cleans easily with a microfiber and seriously, for less than $100 I love it!

Great Modern Looking & Functioning Toaster
I have had this toaster for about 4 months and it's not only amazing looking but makes great toast! I bought it because it fit an area I wanted to store it in when not using. But it looks so amazing and modern in my newly remodeled kitchen, that I leave it out on the counter all the time! You won't be sorry if you buy this!!!

Elegant Appearance
I prefer a long slot toaster and you may be able to see in my picture a chip clip from the previous long slot toaster brand. As many have said, selecting the brownness each time other than the default level is necessary. The end result is worth the effort because this toaster browns the outside of the bread and leaves the inside soft. Such a pleasing texture when compared to lesser toasters that turn the entire slice into a cracker!I want toasted bread, not a Ritz cracker. After toasting most of a loaf of bread one day I saw even toasting top to bottom of the bread time after time. Be aware the holes in the top surface are chimneys for warming whatever you like on the rack. The metal surfaces do get warm to the touch in use although the controls did not, perhaps because of my extended use making toast testing the new appliance.I find the rack a convenient place to keep my loaf too.

Perfect toast & a slim elegant design
- love the styling- functional but minimalist-love the small footprint on our counter- love the warming rack for croissants, etc.- really love that the first test slice of toast I made was perfect, set it one up from the lowest setting. Popped up nicely.- did not like having to 'cure' the coils on high before using it the first time. Stunk up the place and should be done at the factory so it is ready to use when you get it. But hey, just a one time annoyance. Be sure to vent the room. Set of the smoke alarm.- it defaults to 4 out of 6 when started and you adjust it up or down. Since setting 2 fully browned my test slice, seems like it should default to a lower setting. Again, no biggie. Easy to see lights for the setting.Overall a masterpiece. not cheap but at $60 blows away a lot of more expensive toasters. Appears to be very well made.

NOPE
This toaster didn't work right from day one. I bought this on ATKs recommendation and am super disappointed. It gets extremely hot, it's very cheaply made, and, most importantly, it toasts bread horribly. It's completely uneven. Half the elements seem not to have worked from day one. I would avoid this thing at all costs.

Good-looking, performs well, a few quirks
We've been using this toaster almost daily since September and we're pleased with it. It was one of very few narrow models that would fit on the counter in our tiny kitchen and I think it's one of the nicest-looking toasters out there. It has a couple of quirks: most of the time, it automatically goes to the darkest setting when you start it, so you have to be vigilant and press the button to set it for less time. After blackening a fair bit of toast in the beginning, we are now trained. It is also tricky to clean. While there is a slide-out tray, a lot of crumbs, raisins, etc., get stuck to the areas on either side of it, so I frequently need to unplug it and shake it over the sink. Even so, it's quite nice and I can recommend it.

Great for the first year, then issues.
This immediately became the best toaster I've ever had. The long slot was better than the standard, especially since we've been eating sourdough bread that's longer slices and doesn't fit in your standard toaster. The warming rack turned out to be very useful for us as well. It proved to be a nice solid toaster.Unfortunately, shortly after the first year we began having issues. After maybe 2-3 consecutive uses it would no longer engage the lever to lock in and toast. If you held the lever down it would toast and sometimes after holding it in place for some time it would eventually engage. It seems after the unit got really hot after consecutive uses this issue would arise, and it would go away once a substantial amount of time has passed allowing the toaster to cool down. It became a pain to use if you needed to use it more than two times consecutively. So now I'm looking for a new toaster with similar features, but not willing to spend that much money on this one again.Another note since others seemed to struggle with it. It takes some learning to figure out what setting you need for your desired toast and varies with what you are toasting. It does allow you to lift the lever to check in the middle of a cycle which makes it easier, you just have to be close by and pay attention.I just wish this toaster would have lasted longer without the issues.
