While I can be, and have been an "optics snob" I've also had some good luck with Monstrum products of all things. So I thought I'd give their cantilever pro series 7075 aluminum a look. My impression is there's no reason to spend big bucks on a simple non QD mount when these are available. Solid and light weight but...I did return them because they're almost too low to use on an AR. The mount weighs in at 4.1 oz. FYI I also bought the Monstrum ultra lite Razorclaw mount 1.5 height. They weigh in at 4.4 oz and seem equally well built albeit likely made from 6061 aluminum. I really like how they hug the rail all the way out to the front ring instead of angling a "stalk" upward for several inches like many cantilevers. Makes for a nice clean closed look under the optic. I'm keeping the Razorclaw for next AR scoping project.

Good mount, good price. If you don't want to spend crazy money on a mount, this is an excellent, decent alternative

My new go-to cheaper mount. Solid as heck, amazing fit and finish for even double or triple the price these are going for. Very lightweight - Aero Precision mounts used to be my go to but they're not only more expensive, their ring design can sometimes be a pain in the ass to tighten and keep the scope leveled...these are traditional-style rings. I have this mount in 30mm, 1", as well as 34mm. Can't be beat!

Very good deal. Super solid mount with torx screws. Feels both light weight and solid which is rare. Looks good and sets on the pic rail nice and tight all the way.
