Another Norbury Stunner
Being a book reviewer for about 5 years now I thought James's book was absolutely stunning and was a great book to follow on from the duo of books before. This is an emotional read and it will hit the feels of those that the book is meant for. I have anxiety issues along with issues of low self esteem and depression and yes whilst I shed tears this book did give me a lift and I really do love Norbury's work. The writing is beautiful and the illustrations are absolutely stunning.

The Cat Who Taught Zen by James Norbury - beautiful book
I bought Norbury's earlier book, "Big Panda and Tiny Dragon" a few years ago when it was released and was enthralled by the quality of the pictures and the delightful text. When I saw Norbury had a new volume out, "The Cat Who Taught Zen" I ordered a copy as soon as I saw it.Although this is totally subjective, I will say that "The Cat Who Taught Zen" is even better than "Big Panda", and I wouldn't have thought that was possible. The illustrations are a joy to look at and the text is precise and educative. This is a book for all ages. A joy to read and a book that I will re-read many times.I buy a lot of books and have to say this is one of the nicest I have bought for a long time. Would make a lovely gift - but even better to treat yourself and buy it just for you to enjoy.

An Amazing Book!!
I bought this book as a special birthday present for a friend who loves cats. It’s so beautifully illustrated with a lovely story but in the reading proves to be very profound. A remarkably good price for this book too. I might even buy a copy for myself!!!

I love this author
Another great book by James Norbury.Artwork is fantastic and features various styles (much better than some similar books featuring "inspirational messages" and illustrations that consist of little more than draft sketches). There's not a lot of writing, but too many words would ruin the "feel" of a perfectly relaxed "Zen" book that has perfectly sized portions of food for thought.I have a slight preference for the Panda and Dragon books, but that's only a personal preference. Please don't let the title put you off for religious reasons; there is no "preaching" in this book and, to my mind, the content would fit with any religion.I'm now looking forward to the next book by this author (hopefully there will be more).

Another beautiful book from James Norbury
While this book is not as good (in my opinion) as the previous "Big Panda and Tiny Dragon" books, it has its own charm. The book tells the tale of a cat on a journey and the other animals he meets along the way. As always the illustrations are beautiful in their simplicity. Another point worth mentioning us just what a lovely quality book this is. From paper quality to the binding, the bookmark - it's just a beautiful book.Happy with my purchase.
