Gets much hotter than the machine that originally came with my sauna tent. Steams up really well, great for recovery. Really good buy for the money.

Don't waste your money. This unit generates very little steam. I guess it must be meant for one of those tent type steam setups because it doesn't make enough steam for any thing else. I tried using it in my shower enclosure and it was a joke. Not enough steam to even warm my feet. I sent it back!

So I have using a steam sauna for the past two years. I absolutely love it. Every morning, 20 mins, and go. Unfortunately the one had been using blew up. So I bought a whole new setup. the heater for that one sucked big time. So I bought this one to see if the heater was better. Oh boy does this get hot. 15-20 mins in this heat and steam is great. 20 mins in the other and I barely could raise my heartbeat. I have only had it two days so I don’t know about longevity but at $80 it’s worth it. Even if it dies in 6 months.

Bought this as an upgrade to the current steamer unit I have (1000W 1 liter). Upon opening the packing which was very well done, appears this unit might have been used as the top part of the pot is really scratched up. With the solid packaging, there’s no way these scratches could have occurred in transit. Not that this will hinder the functioning of the unit, but if I paid for a new unit and recd a used one, that’s concerning. The unit appears to work upon the first use.

I bought my sauna with the 2 liter steamer. I could feel cool air sometimes around my ankles. I decided to try the 4 liter steamer. It did not disappoint. Fatter hose for more volume and twice as much water. My face literally melted off... ok maybe it just felt like it, but man what a difference. The temperature is also a little bit hotter than the 2 liter. So... to sum it all up...More waterMore steamFacial meltingYES!!!

It’s a cool concept that I really wish would’ve worked out a little better for me. It takes a long time for the steam to start pumping out of the unit and it never really gets going to the point that I would consider to be actually generating enough steam to create true steam room effect. It does indeed blow out very hot air, but don’t expect to see much water vapor pumping out. I would love to have the ability to build that dream steam room, and I tried to do it on the cheap . This is definitely one of those “you get what you pay for” situations.
