Simple and strong
We use immersion blenders often, and when our old one finally gave out, we replaced it with this — and it’s been a great upgrade. It handles both hot and cold ingredients easily, and the high and low speed settings are perfect for what we need in the kitchen. One of the best features is the detachable blade that’s dishwasher safe — I won’t buy anything that isn’t dishwasher safe, so that was a must. Our old blender had a lot of tiny pieces and blades to keep track of, so I really appreciate that this one is one solid, removable piece. Much simpler. The motor feels strong and consistent — no struggling through thick mixes. We especially love using it for homemade mayo — it makes the process quick and foolproof. For the price, it’s a great value and does the job every time.

Love using it for my protein shakes
Easy to use. Quick and effective. Lightweight but still feels like a good quality. Easy to clean. I use it daily for my protein shakes and am thinking about buying another because it's so much better than using those shaker cups.

Too Hot to Handle: A Spicy Soup Encounter with an Immersion Blender
The media could not be loaded. When I ordered the "Ovente Electric Immersion Hand Blender," it was mainly due to an excess of tomatoes in my home. I thought making homemade tomato soup would be the best solution. I had never used an immersion blender before, so I was learning as I went along, as you can see in the attached video. My main goal was to turn the tomatoes, well seasoned in dry spicy ranch seasoning and sitting in their own juices for nearly 48 hours, into a smooth velvety soup.To my surprise, the blender did its job, although it required more effort than I expected. I had hoped that the softened tomatoes would easily blend, considering they had been covered in a seasoning that is salt based, but it seemed the blender struggled more than I had imagined it would. Despite this, I was pleasantly surprised with the smoothness of the final product. The immersion blender did transform the tomatoes into a lovely soup, but the process made me question its ability to handle tougher vegetables like carrots. You could easily crush a tomato with your hands into soup with minimal effort. This blender made it seem like I was giving it too much of a workload initially. While the price point of the blender is very reasonable, I found several faults with it. These are the reasons I can't give it a perfect 5 out of 5 stars. The first was its inability to stand upright. This product's design causes it to tilt at an angle when standing, which could potentially pose a safety risk, especially considering it houses a sharp, high-speed blade. There is nothing stopping it from turning on even when the product is facing upwards. I feel like that's an oversight in the product design considering that a tilt sensor could have been used to always make sure it's always facing down before being turned on.Another significant issue was the heat generated by the blender. After only 5 minutes of blending the tomatoes, the plastic shell of the blender reached 135F, and even after unplugging and waiting for 10 minutes, it was still at 124F. This heat could potentially cause burns if not handled carefully, and it also makes me question the longevity of the product, considering the strain that such high heat could put on a small motor.I also noticed that the tomato skins tended to get stuck in the blender's sides. If the holes in the sides are meant for the puree/liquid/soup to flow through, these holes getting clogged with could be counterproductive and pose a safety risk if you are meant to clear them manually.Despite these flaws, I do believe the "Ovente Electric Immersion Hand Blender" offers good value for its price point. Its performance, considering the cost, was satisfactory, and while I do not expect it to last for years, I think it would pay for itself even with a few uses. However, it's important to note the potential safety risks due to the high heat it generates and the inability to stand upright on its own.So, would I recommend this blender? Yes, but with reservations. If you are careful, mindful of the safety risks, and don't expect a long-lasting product, this blender could be a useful addition to your kitchen.

Works great!
This kitchen gadget works better than I expected. I was looking for a way to consume fruits and vegetables in a smoothie and expected this blender to work well. But it did a great job blending it, plus it's easy to use and clean. I chose to not buy the one that had all the other attachments because I didn't need them. I'm very satisfied with this product.

A bargain and very useful kitchen tool!
I purchased this unit as a replacement for a much more expensive model that is packed away and inaccessible since I moved several years ago. I never used the original unit much. I believe it is a Cuisinart. But I found I had a need for an immersion blender in my cooking now, so I looked for something that I thought would do the job and not break the bank. This was my choice. Boy am I pleased with this blender. I have started using imported Italian San Marzano Canned peeled tomatoes in lieu of buying jarred marrinara. The canned San Marzano Italian whole peeled tomatoes offer better flavor and it is cheaper than paying for expensive sauces that do not use quality tomatoes. I would rather buy good imported genuine Italian San Marzano tomatoes and make my own marinara sauces for far less money and not all of the additives. I can control what is in my sauce. Enter this little blender. I use it to puree the tomatoes right in the can. No need to pull out my blender or food processor. This stores easily in a drawer and takes up little room. It does a perfect job on the tomatoes. I have used it for creamed soups as well. Again a great job. I love that it has two speeds. At 300 watts it seems to have more than sufficient power. I only have to hand wash the blade and put it away. At the price this blender does everything the more expensive Cuisinart model did. But given that the Cuisinart is packed somewhere back about 12 boxes deep in my garage, I am ever grateful for this blender at such an amazing price. I have used it many times now and it always works great and cleans up in a breeze. My kitchen appliances are all red Kitchenaid so this matches them as well!
