Lovely sausages
I live in France so cannot easily buy british sausages or if I can they are very expensive indeed. As I have a sausage making kit with my food mixer decided to try making some. I use belly pork as find you need that bit of extra fat. Made and munched my way through my first batch and no complaints at all so far. The kit includes a laminated how to do it sheet which is really useful, three favours and have used the Cumberland one and am about to try the other two. Warmly recommend this to anyone wanting a good British Sausage. But do add extra fat or else they could be a bit o the dry side,

A Good Starter Kit but could be better
I purchased this item to accompany a mincer and sausage machine for my partner’s birthday. He’s the kind of person that likes to open the box and get using, so I looked online for the perfect sausage making kit and found this. I then order the meat (pork belly and shoulder) to ensure he would be “ready to go”.The box looks good and gained excitement to get going. The contents are well packaged and labelled within the box and the instructions extremely clear. It even included a U Tube video link which he had on instantly. The mixes are easy to add to the meat (you get three varieties). On the minus, the skins are extremely dry and are just given in a roll – probably great for the seasoned professional but not for us as beginners! So when following the cutting guidelines we lost most of them as the cut wasn’t even, left holes and caused bunching when filling with meat. Mixture went into the fridge and new skins purchased (Tongmaster Premium British Natural Hog Sausage Casing Skin of 13 m Length x 34/38 mm Diameter). I will write a separate review for those but to sum them up “brilliant” check them out!The finished item was good, but we found the mix we used a little peppery – individual preference. We also found the skins a little tough when eating the finished item.Overall: Good starter kit to hand over with a machine for effect and practice but for the serious sausage maker, I’d get a recipe online (plenty of sites if you google) and head to Tongmaster!

It is not worth buying!
The value is poor the picture shows 26 packs of skins. The advert on hospitalityQuality the picture shows 26 packs of skins and says skins plural. You get one very small one the value of items supplied in a butchers shop would be about £1.50 with shipping it was about £30. It will make a small pile of sausages not many. I do not recommend buying.
