These are a bit smaller than I had expected, but very cute nonetheless. My 9 and 11 year old grandsons enjoyed doing the project. We elected to use some acrylic paint markers rather than the included paint pots. The wooden forms took the paint easily and neatly. The 9YO was happy to use the “diamonds”. The chimes tinkle nicely, but you must make sure to get the cords long enough so that they can dangle and hit against each other. I think my daughter will enjoy her Mother’s Day presents from her boys!

The media could not be loaded. Bought these for my class to make for their fathers day gifts. They are adorable and so affordable. Comes with everything you need to make the wind chimes. We used paint markers instead of the paint and it worked out great.

This is a cute project for a birthday party. I recently purchased this for my daughter's 10-year-old birthday party. It was popular. I wish paint was included. If you look at the original posting, you can see that paint is not included but I missed that. I did not have paint brushes in the kit though. On the posting, it does show two paint brushes. This was not a big deal as we used markers instead. Paints would probably be a better idea if you purchase this. The markers did bleed on the wood, as you can see from the picture. The chimes are very sparkly and colorful. The string included frays easily. I might recommend using different string. It's very difficult to thread but shiny and pretty. Overall, these were not that expensive and accomplished what I needed. I would not buy again given the overall quality and no included paints.
