Quality Product, works great
First and foremost Thank you Coleman for being such a great company, with affordable high quality items. So I purchased a Stansport version of this connector first because the Coleman one was out of stock, and i figured how different could they be, Long story short there was a leak and it ignited my tank and lit part of my garage on fire (PSA Do not by stansport bran Propane hoses dropping this info here because after writing a review on that listing with pictures and video of the damages it was pulled from the site), Anyway after returning that one I found this one back in stock and I was very happy to see it, Coleman, by far has the best QA on camping equipment and its super affordable, I have never received a faulty part form Coleman and I have been buying their products for over 30 years, and my parents before that, I have used and abused Coleman products for decades and they stand the testament of time, and I still have coolers my dad got in the 50's that have seen millions of miles and still rocking it. And to no surprise this Hose works great, feels like better material than the other one, and did not cause a fire in my garage when testing it out, A win win all around :)

So far it works.
So it works I cook outside even at home by choice. I use a Coleman two burner stove. I don’t like cooking inside much at all unless I have to. Using the little tanks for some reason unless your camping feels like a waste. So got this hose. First it’s kind of sharpe plastic that goes to the tank to spin it on like that flat plastic edge is sharp. Next it did either get clogged or I didn’t have the tank open enough not really sure. One review said to build up pressure in the line then burn the gas. So I tried that and it seemed to work but we will see. Have always wanted this hose but 27 bucks is too much in my opinion for a 5 ft hose you use to cook outside sometimes or if your like me as much as you can. 16 is a little more reasonable however I’m hoping I didn’t get what I paid for. Some reviews say it doesn’t work with Coleman stoves or two burners even though it’s from Coleman. Not sure how that works. So it seems to work but we will see. Like I said so far I cooked breakfast and coffee with it and it worked for the most part. Going to now clean up and see if it works for that. Clean up is heating the cast iron and steaming it in the house lol with hot water. So my biggest and only real complaint is you feel like you need a gloves to attach to a tank so you don’t cut your hand other wise I think it will work for me. I don’t mind having to clear the line if that is the case as things aren’t made the same as they use to be so i don’t expect much sorry Coleman nothing against you guys i. I have a lot of your stuff anyway that works.

Coleman Hose Adapter - For Large Propane Tanks
EXPERIENCE: The only problem that I have with Coleman, is that most of their propane gear is designed to use the small propane cylinders. This forces us to spend $25.00 on a high pressure hose adapter. And Coleman knows that you are going to need it, as you can't run a stove for very long on a 16-OZ propane cylinder. I guess for most of you that go camping, wouldn't need this at all. But for those of us using this at home, you need this to hookup to your 20-gallon tank.I have not had any problem at all with this hose adapter. However, I feel the need to put a warning out there for you folks. This side of the hose which attaches to your propane tank, does not use right handed threads! You must rotate it counter clockwise, to get it to attach to your tank. Get it tight, but not too tight either! The hose has a nice 5-foot length to it, so this way you can keep your propane tank a good distance away from the stove, I like that. The other end of the hose attaches to your stove via right handed threads, so just go clockwise with that one. I don't even need to open the valve on my propane tank all the way, just one turn is enough. The stove uses a fixed regulator setting, so no adjustment is necessary. All I have to do, is hold the flame of my barbecue lighter up to the burners, and then open the valves. They ignite almost instantaneously, and then I can began cooking my food. I have had 0 issues with pressure flow, so I believe this hose to be a quality piece.CONCLUSION: You may not need this hose adapter if you are going on camping trips. However, if you plan to use this at home, you probably should consider getting one. I have had 0-issues with this hose, and I highly recommend it. 5-STARS

Works great for my application
I ordered this Coleman extension hose to connect a standard 20 lb bbq propane tank to my Coleman classic stove for extended cooking time as part of my earthquake kit. It connected perfectly between the 20 lb tank and the regulator that came with my Coleman stove. The hose and hardware appear to be of good quality for the price and the box indicates “Made in USA”.One quick note is to be sure to take note of the direction arrows on the black plastic fitting that attaches the hose to the propane tank as I believe they are left-handed threads for tightening to the tank using the “inside” threads on the tank instead of the “outside” threads that my bbq regulator connects to. Hope this is helpful.
