Lightweight, Duel fuel, Quiet, Name Brand, Easy to maintain
Duel fuel and a brand name make the difference! This little beauty really saves me during power outages which we have lots of. And now I will be much more confident during the Florida hurricane season. No gas for me, I prefer propane and this Inverter makes it simple and easy. It's quiet and runs all night, keeping the refrigerator running and charges my passthrough battery at the same time, which runs a little a/c unit in the bedroom. All in all, this is a fantastic little Inverter/generator. Thank you Westinghouse for making solid and reliable equipment!

Quiet, light weight, propane option a must for overnight.
I bought this generator to support my whole house generator set up because the larger generator is louder than I would like after 10 pm. This Westinghouse generator runs a long time with propane and quiet at nighttime. Its weight is manageable for fast and easy setup. It will power my and small refrigerator and small AC unit in the bedroom and necessary items off my transfer switch while we sleep,I have dule fuel for both generators and have found this option best for my configuration. The inverter seems safer for my appliances also, The propane option is nice because it never goes bad and is good for reliability in acute emergency situations.

So far, so good. Too soon to fully review.
I just got my generator last night and am in the process of breaking it in. So I won't give 5 stars until I have used it for a month or so.I already had a Champion 2500 W gas generator, but I started having some problems with it this summer (bought it last summer). I have a hard time starting it, and I didn't like using gasoline. So I researched and then found this Westinghouse Dual Fuel generator that weighs about the same 50 lbs ish.I want to be able to use propane and only propane. It is supposed to be quieter and and propane is cleaner than gas. My goal is to never use gasoline in this Westinghouse, but it nice I have the option.First impression: Pretty good. It started up on the 2nd pull. As I said I am in the breaking in process for this generator. I wasn't able to do that properly with my Champion last summer, and I needed to get that right this time. I was a bit disappointed that the only instructions for the break in period simply said to not exceed 50% of the load capacity for the first 5 hours. Ok - am I supposed to vary that load at all? I am doing that because other research said it would be a good idea. Am I supposed run all appliances at 50% load for a straight 5 hours? Or can that load only be 10% or 20%? Is that good or bad? So Westinghouse, please add some more details to the very small section on how to break in the generator. Now I can't sit there and babysit the generator for 5 hours. But I have been checking it every 20 to 30 minutes. A couple of times now it has stopped running and I am not sure why. The first time I believe it was overload. I actually saw that. I had added in a USB power bank, hoping to charge that with the generator. It didn't like it. The other 2 times, I was not out there, but no way it would have been overloaded. So does it just stop after an hour or so?? I don't know. The 2 main things I am powering right now I don't think draw a whole lot. One is an electric 12/120v cooler. The other is a small USB powered fan, designed to be able to plug into a PC USB port. Then when I am out there, I will plug in a vacuum cleaner and run that for a bit. I also plugged in a variable speed drill and ran that at different speeds to provide different loads. But again, I am not sure what percentage of the full load this is.One thing I did like about my Champion, that this Westinghouse doesn't have, is a display telling me how many hours it has on the generator. This made it easier to track usage. My main use for this generator is to recharge my RV Lithium batteries when solar is not enough to keep them up. So I won't really be able to tell how well this does, until I use it on my next trip.

Easy to get going, but be sure to read ALL to documentation first
Bought this for RV boondocking. Unpacked and got it up in running in no time. However, anyone buying should be aware of a few snafus we ran into so they can avoid problems.1- They provide a small bottle of 4 stroke engine oil, but it's not enough to reach the minimum level. We had to add about a 2 oz more of our own to get a reading on the dip stick. The dip stick reading itself is a little jinky - the fill port is horizontal so you're not really dipping into the depth of the reservoir. A fill neck is provided to assist with filling, but you can't tell when you've overfilled until you unscrew it. You then have oil dripping down the side of the unit. They tell you to not thread the dip stick in to read it, but you can orient the stick and impact the reading.2- There's a quick start guide, the owners manual AND an addendum, all of which don't say the exact same thing. Be sure to read it all before firing up the first time. They've changed the start up procedures so follow the addendum. Luckily this didn't negatively impact us, but I'd hate for someone to struggle or worse.3 - the pressure release value for the propane is unguarded. While this didn't cause problems for me, I know I'll be positioning the value and propane tank so this cannot get accidentally bumped or pressed open. Venting propane unknowingly don't sound like a good idea!4 - the service panel on the side is held on by spring clips, along with a locking knob. I'm mildly concerned about the durability of the spring clips with repeated removal to check oil levels. Seems a more robust attachment strategy should have been used for something they tell you to check before each use.Even with these minor issues, this is still a great unit. It's light enough to be moved around and quiet enough that you can communicate with someone while standing near it. Granted, it's not whisper quiet, but I've heard louder generators before. Looking forward to many adventures off grid with it!
