The 4 star rating I'm giving this belt is a gift, not necessarily that it was earned. Frankly, I feel duped. When I ordered this West Star Texas belt, I thought it was a genuine leather belt, tooled and made, right in the Lone Star state of Texas. It is not. While the company that SELLS this belt is headquartered in Texas, this belt is genuine Chinese merchandise. Supposedly the belt is designed in the USA, but I wanted to own a Texas made belt, and this is not it.Secondly, this genuine leather belt DOESN'T even smell nothing like real leather. Duped again. Then I read the product description and it says "The belt was made with no leather smell.". What a disappointment for me! I, for one, happen to LIKE the smell of real leather. The distinctive smell is also my assurance that the product really is actual leather. This is probably real leather, but why did they somehow mask the characteristic scent of the leather?Also, the words on the inside of the belt are upside down, when the belt is right side up on the outside. No big thing really, since it's hidden from view. I really do like how the buckle can be swapped out, and the belt itself shortened, if need be. Definite pluses.Finally, this is a very attractive belt, in absolutely every way. It is eye-catchingly handsome and sure to garner attention wherever the wearer goes. I just wish this would have been a genuine Texas made belt with genuine leather smell to it. Also, I definitely should have ordered a size smaller than what I did. Live and learn: I'll know for next time.

Love how thick and well made the belt is. I weigh 125 pounds and bought a Large I should of bought a medium size but I just made another hole and it was fine. I love my belt.

This belt is well made and looks great. It fit true to size and is comfortable. I was surprised with the craftsmanship it is made with and it has a very nice buckle.

I am really impressed with this belt. The tooled detailing is so intricate and so is the belt buckle. The buckle has a nice weight and I have received many compliments on it. The price is phenomenal as well.

This is a high quality leather belt that should literally last the rest of my life. And my kids life. And maybe my grandkids. A family heirloom, if you will.It’s about 2-inches in width, which was exactly what I was looking for.The belt design is beautiful — and is the sole reason I chose this belt.The belt buckle is metal, and Texas big, and looks nice enough. However, if it is not your style it can be changed out for another buckle.The quality and workmanship is what made me order this belt - and on that note, it does not lack. I am impressed, and proud to own it.If you’re on the fence about it, I can assure you it is worth every penny.I ordered an XL-40 for my 41-inch waist. I almost overshot — it fits on the very smallest hole. If the belt was any longer, it would’ve been too big.If you have a 41-inch waist like mine, I’d recommend the size Large for pant size 32-36, unless you want growing room. Do not fret if it’s a tad too small — they send a tool to punch your own hole should the pre-made holes not fit the way you like.Again, the workmanship is very detailed, and I haven’t seen one single flaw. The leather is thick, and will not be bending out of shape easily. It’s beautiful.

Okay I’m gonna start with the things I loved: this belt looked exactly how it was advertised. The buckle is pretty and sturdy, and the belt itself feels comfortable and fits the way I wanted it to. My one minor criticism is that the way the belt latches is a bit of a pain compared to other belts. The way it latches makes it kind of hard to adjust it to the size you want it. It is good quality for the price though overall :)
