No statins
My LDL was elevated higher than my doc wanted.. He suggested a statin.. No way.. I have read too many horror stories about side effects caused by them.. My sister had LDL issues but she told me about Red Yeast Rice.. I did some research and began trying it.. Sure enough, my LDL dropped from 130 to 90 but I also take CoQ10 to go along with the red yeast rice.. No noticeable side effects.. Doc is pleased and he stopped pushing the statin..

Its only one of two brands safe to take and effective .
Was taking a statin atorvastatin for few years and it was destroying my muscles, joints, and liver so weaned myself off it and switched to a milder natural form . Only side effect after two months is I FEEL BETTER .There are allot of YouTube video's and NOT A SINGLE ONE says anything good about the med form of statin .
