Ordered XL rightIt's around 3.75" wide opening (and if you say well just turn sideways to put on... up and down is even more narrow.3.75" equates to a men's narrow (typically 3.8") shoe or lessCompletely unusableI did try it, the XL, on a woman with size 9 relatively narrow feet and it does just fit but it's very uncomfortable and doesn't fit well inside shoe at all.I did not see the foot circumstances chart when ordering. I'm not sure what they measure but I wear a size 11 men's which fits well within the up to 13 listed. The problem is the widest part of a foot is the front... in the chart listed they show measuring at what would equate to a foots waist in usually the narrowest part. So to me that like fastening your belt to fit your waist snugly then trying to put it on over your head and shoulders.

This brace is made with a hard plastic. The buckles on both sides can be opened by pushing the big circle. The strap doesn't give much wiggle room for adjusting size. At first glance, I thought this would be very uncomfortable but I was wrong. The brace also slides into your shoe with ease
