I shopped every option for herb keepers and read many reviews about much more expensive options and ones with fancy features and gimmicks but I settled on these and I am happy I did. My only complaint about these are I wish they were about 2" taller.. then they would be perfect to me. That said, they are plenty tall for asparagus and even my green onions which I cut down the tops a little to fit in. At first I thought these would be great but would end up drilling a few holes to allow some moisture to escape and get a little air flow. I was pleasantly surprised that the lids have a little stop before you actually snap them all the way down which creates a gap on each side of the lid that allows regulating moisture and airflow if you don't snap them fully shut. I don't close the lid all the way on any of them now as it seems to be just the right moisture level with the small gap. On my asparagus I leave the lid a little more open and it stays perfect. Also, I love being able to remove the basket to grab some herbs for cooking or to change water every few days (which one should do regularly if you want the herbs to stay fresh). Not having a drain plug like many other options to get knocked out and spill or get lost is also great. I don't need a drain plug when I can remove the basket and dump the water out and refill with fresh water. Another big plus for me is they are a great size (for my fridge at least). I can fit two deep in my large door shelves so I have four of them in an area that before with my jars and plastic bags would have only fit two or three and there would be bags all over the place and herbs getting closed in the door. They are just large enough for a large bunch of cilantro or parsley. The dividers are nice to have but I threw 3 of the 4 of mine away because for most herbs they would be too small of compartments. I use one divider for my green onions in the large pocket and rosemary in one of the small ones. I have had a bunch of Cilantro in one for two weeks now and its still nice and fresh, this has never happened before!

I ordered this the first minute I saw it on Amazon. learned a while back that I could keep Cilantro in my fridge for three or more weeks by placing the bunch in a glass of water in the fridge. I always was careful not to knock the glass of water over and the Cilantro usually just flopped over the sides onto other things in the fridge. This seemed like a neat, sturdy alternative and it certainly is. I especially liked the colors offered. I like that it holds a whole bunch of Cilantro loosely so I could just pull out stems of them one at a time as needed. Some might ask why I just don’t have a Cilantro plant instead. I live in South Florida where the heat just beats the heck out of them. It’s easier to just use the fridge method and that insures nice fresh looking Cilantro. It’s cheap enough to buy by the bunch. Don’t worry about having to keep filling up the water. Fresh herbs don’t use up much at all. Put two inches of water in and that will last for weeks. It’s good and sturdy and there is virtually no chance of this spilling over in the fridge.

I usually keep spring onion, cilantro, and parsley in a cup and ziplock bags in my refrigerator for daily use. They last about 2 weeks before needing replacing or running out. I tried to reduce plastic use and found this item on Amazon. I've had it for a week, and it still looks fresh. Regarding size, I wish it is an inch taller, so I don't have to chop the top of the spring onion as much. The cilantro also might fit well with the increased height. It doesn't get squeezed at the moment. These herb keepers stay upright and are less likely to be knocked over compared to when I used a cup with a ziplock bag. I hope they stay fresh beyond 2 weeks. Fingers crossed!!

Best purchase of 2025 for sure. I've been using glasses with water and a baggie over the top for months to preserve cilantro which has become a staple in our cooking. Just this has saved us many times from running out of fresh cilantro before getting to the store. However the cilantro still tended to rot prematurely. This greens keeper (ha ha) works even better. The cilantro leaves stay dry and content in the upper part while the stems maintain water supply from below. The insert pulls out for easy removal of individual stems or leaves. I found that a bent paperclip allows me to just raise the insert to the top but leaves the dripping water inside - no muss, no fuss. I love this and greatly appreciate having it available.

I looked at a lot of different herb keepers in stores and found the inner baskets flimsy and difficult to manipulate. This particular one, however, is very well made, leaves a small foot print in my refrigerator and is so easy to use. It fits a whole head of celery perfectly and has a removable 3 section divider if you want to separate and store smaller quantities of different vegetables & herbs. Very highly recommend this product.

Seems sturdy. Pieces fit well - snug but not so tight that they're impossible to get apart. I like that they're tall enough to accomodate long stemmed herbs like cilantro and parsley. I only needed one...wish they sold them as singles. I'm really happy that I won't have jars of water with plastic bags in my fridge anymore!!

following directions, it was very easy to use cilantro and parsley look like I just bought them over a week later - I did trim the bottoms, put water only to just the bottom of the insert. a week later I changed the water, and I think the herbs will keep even longer - I added more cilantro to the back and picked out a few yellowing stems when I changed the water. should have done this years ago!
