Excellent Seller A+
Very nice pocket knife. Had a slight issue with a pocket clip screw but seller fixed the issue. Excellent customer service. Blade is very sharp, action is slightly stiff at first but breaks in over time. Highly recommend. Shipping took about 20 days, came from overseas. Worth the wait. A+ 😁👍In the images provided the top knife is the mini Bugout and the bottom is the standard size Bugout (blade being reviewed). Both blades are sterile clones and not real Benchmade Bugout knives. Great blades for those on a budget.Knife is hand filling, lock up is solid, no blade play in any direction. Great size for EDC and or outdoor sports. Satin finish is uniform, edge is symmetrical and wicked sharp. Gold accent thumbstuds and standoffs contrast nicely with the green scales. Slight flex is detectable with the handle scales but nothing to be concerned about. Overall a great product for a fair price. Blade steel seems to hold an edge adequately and handle has a generous lanyard hole to accessorize with a parachute cord fob.

Wow.
The gold thumbstuds and the green scales are cool. I am a sucker for drop points and I fell in love with the real Benchmade Bugout. But of course, as a broke college kid, I cannot afford the real thing. I feel bad for buying a clone but I gotta say this thing looks just like the real deal and I’m happy with the purchase.I bought this because the specs claim that the blade length is 3 inches, well, the cutting edge is 3 in if you measure the heel to tip. However, if you measure from the top of the hilt to the tip(which is the method of blade measurement by USA law enforcement) THE BLADE ACTUALLY MEASURES 3.25 INCHES, not 3 in. I bought this knife because I wanted a very lightweight legal EDC that is 3in or under. So I’m slightly disappointed about the blade length, but I will use it as my new EDC regardless. The knife measures a hair over 4.25in when fully closed. And about 7.46in opened. This thing is so so light weight I frigging love it. I weighed it on a scale, it weighs 1.8oz/51grams (the real bugout is 1.9oz). I’m used to carrying my 4mm thick EDCs that are just as heavy as my iPhone XR (4x the weight of this knife) so I appreciate the smaller size.Don't know if it's 8Cr13MoV as claimed. The blade came symmetrically ground and the machining is symmetric. No cosmetic defects or asymmetry. I’m impressed. The blade spine is 2mm thick and came straight. It lays exactly centered from heel to tip, opened and closed. The thumb stud is solid and also straight. The edge is sharp right out of the box, it didn’t cut super cleanly through printer paper, but after a few runs over a steel honing rod, it sliced cleanly through printer paper from heel to tip. No tears.2 year update: it is made of some soft steel which dulls faster than my Spyderco Tenacious 8Cr13MoV. But it sharpens up very easily with a regular whetstone. I must be stainless because it has never rusted. Very low maintenance.Locking mechanism is solid when blade deploys, no play. The axis lock is fidgety and fun. The metal washers are not smooth but reliably opens/closes. Added a drop of oil on each side of the washers and this seemed to help smoothen the action slightly. Will need to see if it will break in some more. I can loosen the pivot screw a little to where it opens/closes smoothly but there is significant blade play. The blade deployment, lockup, and closing is not as smooth as the real Bugout but it’s okay for what it’s worth.Update after 2 years: action is not perfect but will open and close with a swing/flick motion. Other than that, no issues with lockup. The handle feels like one of those Igloo cooler plastic material, it’s okay. Kind of comfortable, no rough edges and not slippery but feels flimsy. Handle will flex and bend if you put pressure on it, probably cannot handle heavy duty use. There are no asymmetries or defects, but it’s economically molded. I appreciate that there are 3 screws that hold the handle together, screws are sturdy. The metal frame (underlying the handle/scales) that holds the axis lock and blade in place does not run the length of the handle. It ends about 1.5 inches from the hilt, so definitely not for heavy duty use.The clip is very tight which I guess is good, but it’s a little too tall and bulges out a little. I wished it was slightly deeper for a true deep carry. But it’s functional and nice. When in my pocket, the knife doesn't print on my loose shorts or t-shirt, so I guess that's a plus.2 year update: paint on clip is rubbed off exposing grey metal but no issues. There are definitely better knives to spend $20 on, but if you really want a knock off BM Bugout that can do scut work get you one. Definitely do not quality, but this is a fun knife. I can see myself buying another one in the future until I can afford the real BM.

Don't waste your money.
Being a sub $20 knife I wasn't expecting a lot. What I got was worth about $8. Blade was sharp. Was extremely light, only has about a quarter of a liner on each side and has a ton of flex in the handle. Action was super tight. I attempted to lossen the detent but the screw has so tight I stopped because I didn't want to strip it. Pay a few bucks more and get a Ganzo, Sitivien or Eafengrow. Don't waste your money.

Obviously it's a knock-off, but for the price, VERY well made.
I got this for $19 -- I've always liked the Bugout 535 but didn't want to drop the money on one right now. This is a solid little knife -- It's true to size and feels reasonably like the real thing. Sure, it's a bit cheaper, but it's functional. You'll mostly notice the cheap feeling in the handle compared to the real thing.Think of buying this like buying a Honda Accord versus the Lamborghini you want. It's a car, it works and will get you from point A to B, but don't expect anything too fancy.Still, the steel is alright, came passably sharp, and was able to be sharpened easily to a very functional edge. I don't feel bad abusing this knife for day-to-day uses, and if I lose it, oh well, it was less than $20.

Solid clone and useful knife to have.
As other reviewers have mentioned, you can squeeze the left and right scales together. This would've been a great clone is it had some extra scale/handle reinforcement. As is, it just feels cheap and flimsy every time you get a decent grip on it. On the bright side, it's very light, the axis lock mechanism works well enough (after some oil and break-in), the blade is sharp and it's still an attractive little knife. If you have weak hands or can live with being able to squeeze your knife handle flat, you might be able to appreciate it more than I do.Addendum: I've now spent some time with this knife and learned more about the knife that it clones - specifically the fact that Grivory scaled model BM Bugout flexes just as much as this one. Anyway, I discovered that the handle flex doesn't affect the function or bother me that much in daily use. I've had this knife hanging on the lanyard in my vestibule and used it for various small cutting tasks, such as opening packages. It's handy, easy to use and always cuts well. Considering all this, I'm changing the title and upgrading my review to 4 stars. If you think that the handle flex would really bother you and you're willing to spend a bit more, check out the carbon fiber scaled clone model.
